What was up with Peverley this year?
I think he has a lot of potential, but of all the Bruins, I think he underperformed most.
Almost plays with too much energy and if he toned it down a notch, he might be more effective.

Agreed, wouldn't it be nice to have a veteran with good experience, is a team guy and we can count on him to perform in his role. |

Yeah unless Horton is willing to take less to stay here I can't see us keeping both Rask and Horton. With his recent health issues he may not garner as many offers but he's still a guy teams would take a chance on. Priority has to be on Rask and work on trading some of the over priced bottom 6 guys. That won't be easy with the cap going down but that's why they pay PC the big bucks. |

Id pay Rask what he wants. Top 5 goalie.. no doubt |

Ty Anderson: End of Ference Era; Murky future up front - tyanderson
Nice read Ty. The guy's a warrior. During the Cup run in 2011 he and Thornton (and obviously Chara) really stood out to me as guys that were really tough to play against and set the tone for the team.
I'd love to see him play in Buffalo and mentor/tutor our young guys because that's exactly what our team needs. Problem is that he'll get a nice contract. Some GM will pony up decent money for a guy that will be 35 by the end of the 1st year of the contract. Buffalo has already done that with Craig Rivet and Robyn Rygher and it didn't work out.
Best of luck to him and his family. |

yeah if what we are hearing is correct it's not out of line but PC may try and talk him down some to get other deals done and keep him affordable down the road as well |

Goodbye Ference and thanks for memories, the cup and helping to turn this team around. He was big part of pulling this club out the dregs of the NHL and for that I will always be thankful...lest you go to Montreal then (frank) YOU!! ...kidding.
Anyway I can change my username? |

Thinking open market at least 5M+
Edit: Twitter (Haggs) conjecture has Horton demands at $30M over 5 years. |

Could definitely see Andy heading back to AB. From most accounts he didn't really want to leave Calgary.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear rumours of B's/Oil talking trade possibilities around Johnny Boychuk as well. |

I'm ok with letting Horton walk. I liked him a lot and he was a great clutch player, but not worth the money he will inevitably command. I would much rather the Bruins let him walk and wait until next summers free agent class, where you can get a big time player. |

Boychuck won't fetch you one of Hall, Eberle, Schultz, or Nuge, so not much I would want from them if it means losing 55. |

Cap space flexibility. If you can combo Pevs/JB, and get a good return, I think you'd be remiss not to consider it.
That #7 pick would look good. Marincin, Musil, Hatikainen, Pitlick, PRV ... thinking soft deal rather than swap of pro's. |

I would definitely consider a package of Boychuck/Peverley, I don't think that could get the 7th, but I do like the idea of getting PVR. He would help to build long term stability i the Bruins top 9, and he can jump in immediately. I think Edm would want Kelly over Peverley, they already have a number of smaller forwards and Kelly could really help them in their bottom 6/PK. Maybe Boychuck and Kelly for Hemsky and PVR, add in other parts if needed. |

Interesting. I'm assuming you'd be looking at Hemsky replacing Horton? |
