yeah and Bob is taking the first plane out
No way Kekalainen is giving him some attrocious 10 million dollar salary. - Alexzanki
Everything I have heard has said Bob wants to stay in North America. I really believe they'll get something done.
On the outside chance they can't there are some options out there. If Bob does leave then the Jackets could look at Bryzgalov and Mike Smith. Both have succeeded in smaller markets and could be solid alternatives. But I guess we'll cross that bride on when and if we have to. |

I think that's a rad deal that helps both sides.
Columbus makes the playoffs next year. - Morris
It's going to be tough in the East. They'll be in the same division as the Rangers, Flyers, Pens, Caps, Islanders, etc., this next year. That's going to be a tough division and if Columbus does make it they'll have earned it. |

So we have heard Columbus has gained permission to talk to Kipper. I watched Kipper at the end of the year & he was awesome. He is 36 years old & elite goalies like him & Brodeur may have some rough years but they are money goalies & Kipper is way too young to retire. Wonder if your guy can talk his fellow Fin to coming out to Columbus. Any rumourss out there? |

In regards to Anisimov...well deserved and i think he possibly could have gotten even more and still have had a fair deal. Was often our most dangerous offensive player and his defensive abilities cannot be overlooked either.
Fil could be a great pickup, but for the right price. We have the cap space so i don't mind spending some money, but I'm not sure we should pay him what some others might be willing to.
Bob...really just rather we sign him.
I was wondering about the Kip thing...he's from Finland....our GM is from Finland...o.o
If we were left trying to go after a goalie i'd love to go after Miller. |

Agreed , but that also begs the question if Reimer is on the market given the leafs got Bernier |

I'll have to look. That's the first I've heard that. I'll reach out to some people to see if there is anything else out there. |

Does Cammelari from the flames fit into this situation. He would be an awesome partner for Gaborik |

No thanks on Kipper, he was awful this year. There will be better options out there if Bob leaves than Kipper. |

No doubt Cammelari would increase the skill level around here, but I think our first choice would be a power forward type. What do you think would be required to obtain Cammelari? |

Perhaps. He has one year left on his deal, correct? |

Filpulla would be staying in DET for the "right price", he wants more than 5.5.... where ever he goes, that is what he will get... but it wont be in DET, that is for sure. |

More than $5.5M? That's a lot of cheddar for a guy who has had one good season. Not sure I want Columbus in that mix at that price. |

He plays great d. You will pull your hair out with his lack of consistency and won't get in the tough areas |

Not only is it reported he wants over 5+ million per but also wants a 7 (or 8 from the Wings) year deal which is insane. I hope whatever team signs him for that contract has a lot of lube and enjoys bending over.
I like Filppula but he didn't even earn a raise from what he made this season let alone something that crazy. |
