Tandem tenders, I think this is a win win for the leafs. What a tough div the new N.E is going to be, being doubly prepared is good.

Reimer will retain his position as a number 1. Scrivens will continue to develop and be a solid backup for perennial contenders no less. Frattin will score 20 or more and be that type with speed and a good back check. And the 2nd round pick will be who knows. In 3 years everyone will look back and wonder why the Leafs traded for a goalie when they had a solid number one who was young and still improving, all the while giving up a solid two way forward with speed, and a solid and inexpensive backup. Absolutely pointless trade when the defense is still what it is.

It's a matter of when Reimer is traded, not if.

Probably not this year.

Next summer he is a RFA - trade him then.

I'm going to miss his wife.

Even if the #1 position is still Reimer's, he hasn't made it through a full season himself without injury.

Scrivens as the only other option had to make Nonis lose sleep.

I like the Bernier trade.

Two young goalies entering their early prime and competing against each other for the number 1 job.. if the leafs are lucky both perform well with .920%+ that will only increase the return the GM will get for one..

Bernier should get a 2 year deal worth 2.5 million Per Imo..

Reimer today would get a similar contract based off last season.. maybe a little more around 3 million and if he were a RFA again this summer.

Either way Reimer is locked up for another year at 1.8 that's very attractive to any team looking for a #1 goalie for cheap... Like Philly.. or the JETS ( return home) the ISlanders..Edmonton..

Leafs should have tons of interest in Reimer.
