Stafford and a 1st rd pick to Edm. for Sam Gagner.

Gagner is an Ontario product who really broke out this yr with 38 points in 48 games. He'd be great for this rebuild.s

So much wrong with this blog.
Firstly Drew Stafford has under achieved for how long in Buffalo?
The Oilers are looking for a back up goalie. Preferable a young one that may develope into a starter. There is ZERO interest in Miller, or, the same amount of interest as Buffalo has in Hemsky.
We are not afraid to move Lander, but as of right now, he is the only contracted centre on our team ready to play opening night. Not trading MPS yet

Stafford and a 1st rd pick to Edm. for Sam Gagner.

Gagner is an Ontario product who really broke out this yr with 50 points in 45 games. He'd be great for this rebuild.

Might happen, but we no centers to really start the season so it will be tough.

I really doubt the Oil would be willing to take a chance on Ryan Miller. Great goalie? Absolutely but he looked like an absolute cancer in the Sabers locker room at times last year. Like Clouts was saying in his last blog, I just can't imagine Mac-T bringing that type of player into a young impressionable locker room.

if miller is coming to edm, you can bet big time dubnyk is going back the other way. don't need to tie up nearly $10m in goalies and especially that is not the number priority of concern for edm.

stafford for hemsky is fair. edm takes on two year term and buf takes on one year term. buf will have salary free up after next season.

buf has the assets to acquire the 7th pick, but it will cost a pretty penny. i wouldn't trade it for miller or stafford.

Typical troll blog...

How many times do you need to be told to get it through your thick skull...the Oilers have zero interest in Miller. Zero, zip, nadda...how many more ways do you need to be told?

I'll tell you what he wouldn't allow in the locker room, and that's the trying hard but being ok with losing mentality. That would not fly with him for even a second.

Moving up ONE spot in the draft order is going to cost a pretty penny?
Good luck with that.

Now if you mean trading for the 7th overall and not having the 8th overall going back, I somewhat agree.

We all understand what you are saying, but the truth is that none of us really know what teams are trying to do.

If he were a cancer in the locker room his teammates would not have voted him team MVP. The media blows it out of proportion

So if we are swapping Stafgord fir Hemsky, are we swapping tge 7th and 8th picks as well?

Buffalo doesnt really need/want to bd any kess physical than they already are.

No NO he does that on his own. We all see his interviews, please don't try and tell me that the media was editing his interviews this season for ratings.

Does anyone think its possible to trade Cody Hodgson the 16th pick and the 38th pick to move up to the 9th or 10th pick maybe add Tyler Ennis in and a D in the package to move up to the 6th overall pick ?

Garth is pumping Staffords tires a bit too. He scored 30 exactly once. He is on average about a 17 goal scorer. Not bad but not great.Honestly, player for player, I wouldn't offer more than Hemmer. Unless of course they want Horcoff.
