Annnnnd here come all my fellow Buffalonians clamoring to get 20-something year old Briere back on the roster....forgeting that he played somewhere else for almost a decade and he got bought out for a reason...

Not saying he hasn't lost a step, but he got bought out more for cap reasons than for his performance. If he's healthy, he'll still pop in 20-25 goals over a full season if utilized properly plus whatever playoff magic he routinely pulls out of his hat.

he's pricey cap-wise, but i'd say he could get something via a trade. for what he is still capable of, he should have decent trade value to teams with a lower cap level
