Thanks for writing a Sabres article but why would the Sabres take a goalie when we have Enroth, Hackett, Makarov, Knapp, etc after Miller leaves?

Another irrelevant blog which once again looks for comments rather than a good article to read. Sabres have a better chance at trading for Malkin than drafting Fucale at #8 or #16. "Selecting Fucale makes sense for Buffalo. If they are truly re-booting their team and are committing to the kids, then drafting Fucale is a logical choice." So drafting Fucale over Lindholm or Monahan is the logical choice, wow.

Even if I had zero depth at the goaltender position, I still would not take one in the first round.

I know no one has faith in Darcy, but he has got to make a "statement trade", IMO.

Now, it may not be Malkin, but if there's a team that's ripe for some changes, it may be Pgh. They are not going to be able to afford Malkin going forward.

I think we have the assets to make that deal happen.
