Wouldn't even consider signing him for more than $1-1.5M. I watched every Rangers game this season and all but 4 last season. He looked weak on the puck and a step slow last year save for 1 or 2 games. This season he looked like he was in his late 40's and had never played at the NHL level. It was a trainwreck mentally and physically.

he was good last season but this year he wasn't. he still put up what would've been over 60 points in an 82 game regular season i believe but that's pretty inflated from his late season run where he scored a bunch of easy lucky goals.

Go ahead, bring him in. The Blue Jackets could use a few more Rangers castoffs. He'll score 30 points, 25 of which will be against the Rangers since they'll share the same division next year.

We could use Richards but I say only at 4 million for a year, simply to see what he can do and if he's still for real.I think that would be the best move indeed, Jenner has more time to developpe and assuming Keka drafts a center with the 14th overall (Lazard,Horvat and so on) it will also be beneficial.

Let the Rangers buy him out, sign him for cheap, make the playoffs next season (with the Rags missing it) ...in a perfect world

Richards is not the player he once was but he was bad this year since he had no camp, the lockout hurt him tremendously. He'll bounce back next year, he's worth 4 million a year for 2-3 years since he's going to put up atleast 50 points

not to mention helping out young guys on the team, and the experience he brings to the table.

Hemsky is available for a late 1st round draft. The guy has loads of talent is brave. He has been slowly pushed out due the kids coming in. People forget he was the player that scored the goal that got them into the play offs in 2006 when they reached the finals.
If i was Columbus i would give up there worst 1st round pick for a player that will get you 60-68 points (if he is put with the right players) this next season as u posed to a player that may or may not make the NHL.
