I am sure Rolston is a good coach and will do an ok job but Darcy could have at least put on a show of interviewing some candidates and picking Rolston as the best choice moving forward

It's not like we didn't see this hire coming anyways. Rolston works for me I suppose.

Another season will pass and we will be in the same position next year, listening to all Darcy's bulls$$t in his press conference yet again. It takes time you can't rush this kind of thing.

Good. Colorado can have him. Roy is too much of a hothead. Today's players will tune him out.

Not a fan of the Rolston hiring but I'm not against it either, I guess I was expecting it. Players seem to respond better when they aren't getting screamed at all day long.

I'll bet a case of High Life's that Roy wins a cup as a coach before Rolston or Ruff. The Sabres are in sh!tsville until Terry wussypants really cleans house. Of course I hope I'm dead wrong and I'm not saying the sky is falling in Sabre Land but the clouds are really low.

I'm also glad that Rolston is bringing in his own staff, but I do think both Adams and Patrick will get jobs elsewhere and do just fine. They're not completely incompetent. When it comes to staff positions like that, it's often all about environment.

I agree, seems like Rolston was the "safe" hire for Darcy.

The PK has been up and down but the PP has pretty much always been down. Nothing against adams and I am pretty sure it is more on the players but man our faceoffs were terrible..

how many coaches in the NHL were never players in the NHL or at least the AHL?from what I can find he played in college and a few games in the ECHL and then went into coaching

With a new coaching staff we may get to see some changes that have been needed for years now.
