Lets go SoCal. I really do hope we both advance for some great Hockey. Players will be rested. Home cooked meals. Theyre own beds for the whole series. Unless Coach's decide that they need to put them in hotel rooms. Which has happened. Would be fun for us fans.

This needs to happen! With both basketball teams out and both baseball teams sucking, this is the perfect time.

And it may never come together like this again. I don't want to jinx it in case I'm wrong. But I'll bet Bettman knows this, and will somehow make sure we get some refs who don't call too many penalties.

What will my tickets go for on a day I can't make the game? Will Kings fans make the trip South? Will the bandwagon portion of the Kindom feel superior to loyal Ducks fans? Well, haha, that last one was kind of a gimme.

It would be great to put the Kings in their place. But to lose to them would sting mightily. No fear! Bring it on!

LOL. Put them in theyre place? More sell out games in LA son. You guys could use some bandwagon fans. Itll be good for SoCal Hockey. But get off your high horse bud.

Fasth is fine, but Hiller is en fuego. GAA = 2.07 and SP =.930.

There you go again King fan. You feel superior because you have more people show up to your game. Haha! Let's see, how was LA's attendance in 07-08? Shockingly it was lower than the Ducks'. And with a 26-year headstart and more people living close by. I guess you win. Your team is better because your attendance figures are higher the year after you won the Cup.

Didnt say anything about superior. You can feel low on yourself if you want. Our attendance has been pretty good for like a decade. And our attendance has been more consistent. Your also the one who attacked the Kings. I want a good series between the teams for the sport. But you only think about yourself and how good you can make yourself feel. Good day.

Nice! This qualifies as being on your high horse and an attack to a Kings fan:

"It would be great to put the Kings in their place. But to lose to them would sting mightily."

I wonder what you'd be like on the ice. Oh wait, I've played with guys like you: "Don't touch me. I have a family to support." But that would be assuming you play the game.

It is a good day. And it'll be better if we both win tonight. See you at the games next week.

Signed,

Guy who used to sit in the $11 seats on the ends at the Forum and snuck down to the empties in the lower bowl when he was young and foolish.

This series needs to happen. Is good for the Kings, its good for the ducks, its good for Hockey. With the outdoor game on the horizon this couldn't be more perfect.
Personal, I think either of theses teams could beat chicago, and match ANY team in the east. The physical play of both teams will trump whatever"skill" the east or chicago have to offer. The only other team i personal fear is San Jose. Like the canucks there is a huge chip on their shoulder being the only team in their area with no cup, however the sharks have more snap in their step and Niemi is playing like a man monster. Whatever was lost in this "half" season is being made up with some great play off hockey.

GO KINGS GO!!!

Exactly! The only thing both teams should fear is they might be so exhausted coming out of the series they don't have anything left for the Hawks/Sharks. Kings/Ducks will be PHYSICAL. And both even have good backup goalies, high-end forwards, and suspect defensemen. This will be awesome. Make it happen.

I agree, a Ducks and Kings playoff series needs to happen, and now is the perfect time. The prospect of attending all home and away games for the series gets me excited.

Although the Kings/Ducks would play a physical 7 game series, they would both benefit from the lack of travel and time changes that San Jose/Chicago will be going through! Not to mention how physical the San Jose/Chicago series will be, too.

Just say a prayer for the Kings and the Ducks tonite. The long awaited showdown could finally be upon us!!

On a side note, ducks need to get an Angels warm up jersey, similar to how the Kings have a Dodgers one(which is sick IMO)Imagine those in the Outdoor Classic game, adding fuel to the Los Angeles-Anaheim rivalry.

"Personally, I didn't think anything could possibly have been better for hockey in the Sunshine state than L.A. winning the Cup. This might actually trump that. "

Umm....Anaheim and Los Angeles are in California. Last I checked the Sunshine State was Florida and the Panthers and Lightning aren't in the playoffs.
