Time will tell during the regular season they were able to shut him down. Doesn't mean he won't make the NHL because he couldn't beat one team.

with 82 games next year and no Weiss we might win 20 games if we are lucky.

Here's to ruining our prospects ONCE AGAIN.

Here's to having rookies take most of the pressure the next 3 years. Here's to Florida rebuilding once this one fails.

Edit: I could see a deal there but the oilers are so overpriced wouldn't ever happen they won't part with the big 4 on their team!

Kulikov is the biggest waste of talent. Could be Karlsson but has no drive or will to want to get better. AKA he's the perfect Florida Panther.

I'm sorry, but how does Kulikov warrant any of the "big 4"? If you're trying to get one of them, it'd have to be a package. What could you piece together?

Depends on which one really they all have different values.

And no way would I say it would be a straight up deal but top 4 d-men at the age of 22 are worth a lot as well.

Edit: but just saying I can't see the oilers wanting Kulikov I would think they would want a stay at home D-man?

No no no! We REALLY need a LH puck mover. We've got Smid, Petry, N Schultz, and a pile of 6/7 Dmen to cover shutdown responsibilities. The Oilers' breakout ability has been seriously lacking the past few years with only Petry and J Schultz being appropriate for this and they're both RHD. In today's NHL, having at least one puckmover per pairing is almost essential for full-team success, so if the Oil intend on improving this offseason, that's their main deficiency that needs to be addressed.

And I agree that top-4 Dmen at age 22 are worth a good deal as well, but he has yet to show any notable improvement in his offensive game (stats-wise) and his defensive numbers aren't impressive (albeit he's on a bottom feeding team). Am I wrong to say that legitimate top-line talent is something your team desires right now? Would it be safe to assume that with Huberdeau and your 2nd ovr pick are your only safe bets at being top line talent with Bjugstad being an outlier (likely more suited to 2nd line)?

While I'm here and on that note, would you guys be open to possibility of trading Bjugstad in a package with Kulikov for the right set of players? And I realize you don't represent the Panthers' management in any way shape or form, but I like to get a feel for where other teams' fans stand on their players and prospects.

Ok I see where your coming from I kind of thought that with Schultz that fixed that problem but now I remember you guys wanted Campbell.

But anyway besides what Ballard says Kulikov does a lot and he isn't a liability. Though I was disappointed with him this year on how he started. Is there anyone else of our centers prospects bjugstad is pretty close to untouchable till we know how his game rounds out in the NHL kind of like Yakupov.

I could see something like either Shore or Knight with Kulikov. Any thoughts on that maybe with a little extra not really sure also which one of the big 4 would you be looking to move? And I will agree our biggest problem is lack of goal scoring!

I must say that the idea of getting Campbell (despite his cap hit) is very interesting. I imagine, considering your blueline situation, that he's essentially immovable.

I have to say that in MY opinion, Eberle is the most moveable. That having been said, I DESPISE the idea of trading him because of how good of a locker room guy and how close he is to the city. He's a really well-spoken lead-by-example type guy that has a skill pair of mits. He wants to be here and that's what kinda helps people of Edmonton relate to him. As far as I'm concerned, he's the next captain.

The next most willing- and surprisingly so- would be RNH. That having been said, it would need to be for A.) a HUGE overpayment or B.) an improvement over him (Spezza is a guy that comes to mind).

Hall is as untouchable as our so-called "untouchables" get and Yakupov is a close 2nd behind Hall. Yak really endears himself to me with his work ethic, passion for the game, and, of course, his ridiculous skill set.

May I mention, when considering a deal the Oilers' 7th overall pick is- to all intents and purposes- in play.

Well as far as your draft pick we have no use for it we have basically the #1 farm team. What we need is a impact foward Eberle would be the best fit we are weak on right wing and he would fit in nicely with what we got. RNH is great but no way it would happen to high of a price and we don't really need more centers depending on if Weiss resigns or we draft Mackinnon.

And if Campbell would be moved it would be a very high price or it would never happen. Without him our team is (frank)ed!

Why are you here? Do you not work? No girlfriend? What are you,13? Mom took the xbox from you??? Seriously, why do you continually come onto these boards and shame the team if you're not a fan??

Let me just clue you in...because I know you don't know.
Huberdeau will win rookie of the year, boosting his confidence next season.
Howden,Bjugstad,Shore,Petrovic, Robak, and Markstrom gained professional experience and played pretty darn well considering the circumstances of this season, so you're "too much pressure on our prospects" is invalid.
Weiss will be resigned! He wants to be a Panther, Tallon wants him to be a Panther so I don't see why Weiss and the organization can't hammer out a good fair deal for both sides.
Versteeg,Bergenheim,Gudbranson and the rest of the team will be 100% come training camp (baring no weird, freakish accidents in the offseason). That adds even more offense to our team and gives us more options for a 4 line roster.
Trochek has a chance at making the big club. Having 50 goals and 59 assists in 63 reg season games, plus 10 goals and 14 assists in 15 playoff games doesn't just accidently happen. He's either NHL bound, or AHL bound next season but either way,he'll be a Panther sooner than later.
Getting rid of Clemmensen and Upshall should be key this offseason, possibly Kuba and I'd personally like Jovo to retire. I wouldn't mind Jovo coming back if he plays like he did last season in the post season. I'd rather Jovo than Kuba. Depending on the situation with Luongo, and his contract getting bought out, I can see/would like to see Tallon bringing him on board to help Markstrom with the workload for a 2 to 3 year, decent deal while Markstrom gains more confidence and turns into an elite goaltender. ( I like Luongo better than Theo and Clemmer) I would be okay with NOT going after Lu, but like I said before I would personally prefer Lu than Clemmer or Theo.
Were going to be adding more draft picks to our already #1 prospect pool in the entire league.
We'll have a chance to trade for some talent given that the cap is going down and some teams will be crunched for space, and I ,for one, trust in Tallon.
Last but not least, we're going to draft Mackinnon! He's going to add a lot more offense to our team and once again, help us build a winning franchise. He'll be our top line center, which we've been desprite for.

So, in conclussion...Run your f**kin' mouth all you want, but we're going to win more than 20 games next season. We're going to compete with every team and we're definatelty going to be in the post season from next season moving forward. We've got enough talent to compete with any team in the league, and the more they play together, gain experience and gel as a team, the better they will become.

You have no clue if Weiss is going to stay or not. He WILL test the market, he's not stupid. Weiss is long gone.

as far as health..... you have no idea... Coming into this season we had guys hurt, who says that won't happen again next year?? It's very possible High character guys like Gudbranson will go wake boarding again and miss the start of the season.

You're correct in that Tallon will draft MacKinnnon. Tampa will get the best offensive player in the draft to add to Stamkos and St Louis. Drouin

and to say we will def be in the post season is another idiotic thing to say. We will be in the hardest division in hockey with Boston, Detroit, Montreal, Toronto and will have the worst travel in the NHL. Panthers will finish 12th-15th next year. That's almost a certain.

Huberdeau isn't a lock for ROY either.

Get back to me when Weiss is gone and Huby gets screwed on the award. I bet you won't because all of you hate to admit I'm right, which is usually more than half the time.
