Agreed on Bylsma. He looks very tight, and his attitude at his press conference yesterday looked like he was frustrated/defeated. |

I want playoff hitting to take place tonight, Kunitz normally blows someone up; hasn't happened yet. With their D a little out of whack tonight we should punish them every time they get the puck. |

There are ways to neutralize team speed and it's up to coach Bylsma to make the necessary in-game adjustments. - the-mitch-wilsons
If this is true, then the Penguins are in a lot of trouble. |

You have two all star right wings... so instead of putting one of them on each of your top two lines, you move one to the left side and make them play on the same line |

Seth Rorabaugh @emptynetters
Useless stat of the day: The last time Tomas Vokoun played in the playoffs, he lost in five game to the Sharks and Evgeni Nabokov in 2007.

Yes, but Nabokov is a far cry from the .920 save% he had in those playoffs, that much is for sure.

He has no middle gear, he runs hot and cold. We shall see.
Regardless, Fleury needs a mental recharge and needed to be given a break. |

Pretty confident... But in the end, it's not really on him, it's how the team plays in front of him. |

As long as he doesnt sh*t his pants like Fleury did on goal #3, that should be enough for the Penguins. |

Vokoun's in, we know that. Kennedy's a probable. Who else is coming into the game tonight?
I'm thinking with all the changes it might be:
Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Neal-Malkin-Iginla
Morrow-Sutter-Cooke
Kennedy-Vitale-Adams (Glass and Jokinen sit)
Orpik-Martin
Eaton-Letang
Engelland or Despres - Murray (Niskanen sits) |

Agreed, it would also be helpful if we as a team defensively did not sh*t our pants. Too much standing around and not enough stay tight on people. If you are going to play hockey timidly just stay home and call in sic. It must be played with confidence and not ike racehorses nervously looking for a spot to pee. |

Help me to understand why Kennedy is having trouble staying in the lineup. To me, he always brings it in the playoffs. Wasn't he a staple on the cup team? What am I missing?

Seriously Sit Jussi?
If anything I would give him more time, maybe a bigger role. Sit Glass, but Jussi can play anywhere and come up big. TK will just miss the net. |

He wasn't up to his standard this season. Bad year for him. Should be motivated tonight though. |

I think HCDB is taking some decent steps to using his roster. Say what you will about Jussi's faceoffs and playmaking ability, dude skates like he is pulling a plow behind him.
Glass gets a much needed press box visit.
46 and 48 should come out on fire.
I still don't get why Iggy is still not on 87's line, with Kuni back with 71.
I guess HCDB doesn't think 12-87-9 can get it going?
I'm just hoping they are going to try to stop the turnovers and dump it in when the play calls for it and get to the forecheck grind. |

I'd think you'd prefer Jokinen over Vitale. |

Because he hasn't played well the entire season. The only team he has played well against this year, was, well ... your team. If we were playing the Flyers, he'd be in the lineup for sure. I think he will bring it hard tonight though. The effort with him is usually there. |

What has he done in this first round? Honestly? Some will say "oh his face off percentage is reason enough to keep him out there", but he's not doing anything else. Vitale had incredible numbers in the face off category. I think, with this team needing a shot in the arm, adding guys like Vitale and Kennedy to the lineup could be exactly what this team needs. Speed, energy, and they both have something to prove. Both work their asses off when the game is on the line.

This is true... the 4th line just got a whole lot faster.
