Know that they wouldnt be fired for a very long time, all youd have to have is past results that at some point in your life youve made the playoffs

Would Rolston want to wreck his chances at a better job down the road in the NHL by accepting the Sabres' job when they are destined for a period of "suffering" during the rebuild? He has to look at his future too.

Also, what renowned and respected NHL coach would want to come to Buffalo now unless they have no other options? Money and a long term contract might entice one I guess.

Everyone sits here and decides that the situation in Buffalo is one that nobody wants to come here. Yet, it is well known that Pegula likes to throw money around, and that his employees are treated very, very well here. Buffalo isn't as desolate a destination for the NHL hockey player as people think.

I'm talking about a coach taking his 1st NHL job to coach a rebuilding team. He might not get another chance in the NHL again if the team turns into perennial loser. I'm also talking about a well respected coach wanting to come to Buffalo for basically the same reason.
