You're a (frank)ing sook!

The ref's made bullpoop calls against the Pens that gave you game two. When you lose to the Penguins it's not because of the ref's, it's because they're better than you. The Islander player was hanging off Crosby on a very typical play that draws a penalty on every player in the league, not just the one you want to hate on.

Crosby is the best player in the world and he beat you, suck it up and stop being a poopty, whiney, blogger.

I can argue that. I know its been a while since you git to watch the playoffs but c'nib nan. Is every game gonna be, oh the refs cheat for Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh should have list, the refs cheat fr the pens, the ref cheat for Crosby. Jealousy
- bigwhite

Honestly. Crosby is incredible, one of the best if not best players in the league. With that said he is a diver and whiner. I can honestly say I'd never want him on my team. I mean that. That's not what hockey is about to me. I was never a fan of gretzky for the same reason. Just go out and play. You're going to get knocked around and held up, that's hockey. Look at Tavares who has gotten the shat beat out of him in this series. Guy goes out there and plays, battles through it, you don't see him constsntly whining. You see him crying to the refs when someone looks at him the wrong way? Just play and stop crying. You'll get the calls just keep skating. Play the game, stop embellishing, stop b!tching, the league needs to stop catering to this. I know it goes both ways but why do you think every fan in the NHL besides Pens fans hates Crosby? If you think it's bcs he's good and not on their team you're fooling yourself.

She is horrible but it was a weak call after they let a blatant spear on Grabner(which happened right in front of the ref) and a slash go moments before. I agree you can't blame the refs, all teams have to battle through adversity as far as refs go. You are right there have been some bad ones going the other way too. The refs need to be more consistent, up until yesterday they were deciding the flow of the game which they need to stop doing for better or worse. BTW, what the fack does sook mean?

Still living in Sid's rookie year are you?

You weren't a fan of Gretzky because you never had him and it's the same thing with Crosby. If the Isles had of got Crosby in the draft you'd be riding his nuts, stop fooling yourself.

Hey dude, I'm not being bitter. I hate Crosby, hated Gretzky and I can say with a straight face I'd want neither on my team. You can take my opinion and turn it into some truth in your head to suit you that's fine but it is what it is. I hate and always have hated players like that. Think and believe what you want. I love the way my team is playing win or lose. I felt this way bfr yesterdays game. I felt this way thirty years ago. As far as "sids rookie year" he is still thw whiniest player in the league that's like saying Cooke isn't dirty anymore.

I just think you're clouded by his rookie season like everyone else who thinks he whines and dives still, because he doesn't. Look at every other team in the league. They all passed Crosby in whining about 5 years ago. I'm a huge Crosby fan, but I won't deny he was a baby for most of his rookie campaign and into his second, but that's where it stopped and he looks at the ref no more than anyone else in the league.

So the Isles play a hard-fought tough loss OT Thriller and you dedicate half your blog crying still about the Isles moving 25 minutes away to Brooklyn.

Maybe you should be concerned about JT finding a playoff gear and playing like the superstar he is instead of going to the hater-default and blaming Crosby for everything.

I'm not blaming Crosby for everything. Lol. I love this series. Love the way my team is playing. Giving my opinion. That's all. Wtf does Tavares have to do w anything? In the mood to fight this morning are you? I'm not worried about JT at all, let the Pens focus on him. We have other players that can put it in the net, seems to be working pretty well for us if you ask me? BTW, you don't see him whining do you even though he is getting clutched, slashed and beat up?

I was at the game yesterday and even though we lost, it was a great experience. Anyone saying that there aren't Isles fans with passion should watch yesterday's game. It was electric.

As for the penalty. I'm actually one who wants penalties called on OT like in regulation. I hate when games go 3-4 OTs because usually nothing is happening. What I do have a problem with are many non calls during the game. I think the lens got what 6 pps to our 1? In our own barn?

Back to the last penalty, even the NBC commentators were saying Crosby dove, which I think he did. That is a wussy move and you wouldn't see Gretzky, Orr, Hull or even Mario pull that crap. Having said that, congrats to the pens. Fluery looks very shakey but so does Nabby. Game 4 is where the series will be won.

It's a 50/50 call for sure...but there's no way you can say it's not a penalty. 50/50 in that sometimes they call those and sometimes they don't.

The Isles don't need to beat the officials (there were 4 power plays for the Pens and 3 for the Isles...EDIT which brings the series total to 11 for each team...hardly a conspiracy )...they (Strait) need to be in better position defensively in that case.

What you can say is that the officials maybe need to do a better job of making more consistent calls...BUT you can say that ALL OF THE TIME.

It's tough in that situation...but the truth is, if Strait could have stayed in a better position and driven his shoulder into Crosby from the side or front, instead of obviously reaching and grabbing him, then there wouldn't have been a penalty.

When you are right in front of the official...and you reach out and grab a guy's shoulder...after he obviously beat you (positionally)...seriously...you have to expect a penalty.

Best position for him right now would be the bench... Put Martinek in, he can cover Crosby all day friggen long.

Not sure what game you saw, but Tavares has been hit, and slashed every shift. He tied the game to send to OT........he did what your best should do. Call or no call in OT, theres no doubt crosby dove......but hey he got his team a pp. Cant win when you go 0-3 on the PP, when they go 3-5.

For anyone to argue that crosby didnt dive, i say watch it again......

I am a Leafs Fan, and I love to watch him play hockey. He has not whined in 3 years, so let it go. If Striet did not kick the right, trailing foot out from under him ( watch the reply ) it does not get called. But it did.

The Isles played so well, and with so much heart. Great game. Poor call, but not Sid'd fault it was called. Watched the entire game, failed to see Sid whine one time.

Poor call, nope. That call is made 11 times out of 10. It was a penalty. Sid helped sell it. I have a rough time thinking the reaction of Islander fans if that were Tavaras with the puck in a similar situation. They would be crying bloody murder for a penalty. Tavaras gets that call as well. Anyone who says otherwise needs a reality check.

Timing is everything, it should not have been called in overtime. But it was a penalty. The ref should not have called it, there was no blood on the play.
