Shinkaruk has all the offensive tools to be a star(trust me I've seen it first hand). If not him Ristolainen, Mantha and if we're really lucky Monahan are all great options and a step in the right direction.

I only suggest Monahan because he's a top 5 guy. His slip in the rankings is like what happened to Eberle. Great hockey player but his junior team sucks the big one so he won't get much recognition (and scouts won't see him in the playoffs.) I wouldn't mind drafting him and sending him back but talent wise he would definitely be able to make the team.

And if he does not make the team he is sent back to learn for a year or 2. This team could be worse off next year.

I don't think they will buy out Leino unless they need to to get under the cap, just saying.
