It was our 25th Anni. Jamica. Grand Bahia Principie. Weather was perfect. But the resort was too big and spread out. Food sucked.. Room was nice, beach was just ok.. Back to the crusises for us.

The Oilers/Flames debate is pretty simple. Oilers have the talent. Flames have the "winning" culture. In hockey, culture is more important which is why the Flames even with trading Iginla/Bouwmeester are still ahead of the Oilers this season.

flames need to be the worst team in the league over the next few years so that have a legit shot and mcdavid. worth the risk imo

Tks, it was good. Just differnet. The entertainment blew big time. A Micheal Jackon lip sync was the main feature one night for entertainment.. For the second largest on Jamica, that is not great..

Hey Colin,

Nice read and great class, everyone knows you will never get that kind of response from Clouts.

He makes Oilers fans look horrible, even worse than that squad.

Cloutier is a douche, don't lower yourself to his sub terranean level.

I found it a little uncomfortable the roster the Flames dressed last night. I am surprised there is not more response from the league.

I am glad they lost and glad the game was competative, but they did not ice the best team they had available.

I've been there as well. It was okay. If you ever dare to go back to Jamaica try the Sandals at Negril. Absolutely the best. The only thing I would say was the entertainment was just okay but for me I find entertainment the same on cruise ships. The beach was the best I've ever seen.

Dude they've won 5 of the last 7. Up until last night look at Nash, Edm, Car, NJ, Flo records in their last 7. Want's the difference in playin young guys that play their hearts out or a veteran team that mails it in?

I agree with you on Clouts! I also would bet the Oil lose their last 3 games.

How to tke the high road Colin. Cloutier is the ultimate troll & I guess it works for him. It's just really hard to read the trash talk about how bad our management & talent is from a team with worse management & behind our sorry sack record. We just gutted our team & are playing a predominant roster of AHL players that arent making the AHL playoffs. Versus a team loaded with 3 1st over all's and an alleged roster any GM would switch their current roster for. What a double wham for Oiler fans on HB, a team that ridiculously underachieve & a total loser blogger that just begs the carma to come back & bite their team on the butts. I think it means more when you win games between two of the best teams in the league. One day hopefully we'll have that in this province again.

I think we need to do all we can to get an extra top 10 pick, 9th or 10th will be fine. Looking like we are going to settle in at 6th or 7th. How sweet would it be if we could win the lotto draft, but I keep saying that on every Lotto Max friday

I was ok with it until last night. Cammy, Backlund, Stemp and Stajan have all played hard this year and to healthy scratch all 4 seemed a a little much

Did your bus break down 3 times commuting from the airport to the resort? I was at that exact resort last January. Food did suck, beach was alright, room was great.

Yeah Lanny, you have to let it go. The question that is more valuable to the organization going forward is how some of our young guys are & who is going toget a contract next year. Whats the point of playing tired veterans grinding out a very disapinting season. We need to know if guys like Byron & Bancks are worth giving new contracts to. Its not tanking, its doing what is best for the team.

I like your subtlety in your opinion of the Oilers blog last night, Colin. Very smooth.

The bigger problem over there was the TML trolls that popped by. Senseless drivel that is hard to not get caught up in especially in defense of our team. Your blogs a far more sensical and for that, I thanks you. I like a good debate but things get so stupid on Cloutiers blogs.

Anywho.... I'm really glad you did a piece on Pulock. I would love to see him picked up by CGY. Like you said, though, not with our 1st pick and he is likely gone by the time our 2nd pick comes around. I would really like to see Feaster make a move to get another top 15 pick but, preferably, not by packaging our other 2 picks. There is a lot of quality in this draft and with some good drafting, the restocking of our prospect cupboards could be done in one draft; hell, one round.
