I hope Hartley continues to play the kids; Horak, Sven, Reinhart, Hanowski and Carson have all been decent I think. I think Carson could be a decent #6 Dman, he has a bit of a physical edge. Other teams below and especially just above us need to start winning some damn games or we need to lose out. Seriously, what the hell has happened to CAR, NSH, TBL and even to crappy Oilers- 6 losses in row? Win some F'n games already. It scares the crap out of me that Kipper 'may' be playing his last home game because you know he is going to win it, he just is because he'll want to go out with a win.

As for Shinkaruk, much like Drouin, I just don't think he is what we need; another smallish LW. I know CGY should still be looking at BPA, but considering the excessive amount of left hand shots we possess, maybe we could go BPA that is C,D or RW (with a right shot). I still believe size is important as well in this particular draft. Baertschi and Gaudreau are currently our best prospects and in order to maximize their success, they will need larger players to open up space for them. I normally wouldn't care too much about size, but this draft offers a lot of it and it seems like the difference between players from picks #6-30 are fairly close. Also, it seems like the guys with size in this draft are also good skaters.

What does Edmonton have? a bunch of kids who get bullied when they play bigger teams and a recycled management that created the mess you are in.
