I went to bed and didn't finish that pathetic excuse of a game. I not really interested in a loser point. We should have NEVER allowed ourselves to be in the situation in the first place. Brewer may as well had a Crapitals jersey on. What the hell happened to Stamkos? Is he already on the golf course and we're watching his body double play?

I get the impression that Jon Cooper is trying to get away from the Stamkos show and get the whole team playing as a team.

It's quite obvious tis team has some serious issues of getting out of the blocks and defensive issues is quite glaring. Lets say we buy out Malone and Brewer for the amnesty buyout. It saves over 8 million in cap space. The reason for Malone is his actual money being paid out is only 5 mil for the next 2 years. I love the guy but he's made of Papier-mâché. While Brewer well he isn't quite worth the 4 mil per is he. This team is to far along for in a rebuild to be this soft. And to be honest it's getting old hearing how close we are but we the end result is the same year after year. This goes back before Stevie Y days. So ask you Michael who would be out there next year to help them turn this ship around quick. Our division next year is going to be tough and can't imagine us with this current team and having the different results. I think we need some real grit like maybe a Peros for our enforcer. I'm not sure who is an UFA next year but there could potential be some good buyouts as well. Who could be out there?

What a game, this is why hockey is the best sport to watch. The fight the Lightning showed is something to be proud of. Most of that came from the young kids but you still see Marty channeling his best 25year old. In the future, this is the type of game you remember. Nothing really to play for, down by 4 goals, and yet Thompson comes back on the ice for a few shifts after taking one through the shield. The Bolts didn't just mail in the 2 and 3rd periods they fought back. This is why I'm a huge hockey fan and this is what I like to watch win or lose. This is why Cooper is behind the bench, this is why we have a system.

Yeah, we have lots of holes still to fix, Rome wasn't built in a day. But we have some dogs out there that don't quit. I hate to say it but V4 is back to being a step behind after a good couple coming off IR. He let his man get behind him in OT. Its never a good thing. He certainly had lots of company and its not his sole fault. Lots of blame but lots to cheer for as well.

We do need to grit, more than just a Crombeen or Gudas. We need some team toughness that seems to elude us. I think its coming but we're not there yet. We don't need goons, we need agitators that can score 10 a year.

Anyway, what a comeback for Bolts fans, though I would not want to be in the film room this morning. Its going to be ugly.

hey Michael.. is it even remotely possible Yzerman is tanking to draft early? don't know how serious I am with that question, but the way things are going you have to wonder..

That didn't look like a tank last night - scared the crap out of us in DC. Hope the Bolts compete like that in Winnipeg on Tuesday.

Time to let Ohlund retire trade Malone and Brewer keep Puliott. Keep Aulie another year draft a good defensemen and trade for one from the UFA pool. Buyout Vinny after next year. Carle? Maybe let him go too. keep all of the kids.

Whether Ohlund retires or not doesn't hurt us all that much. Malone and Brewer aren't worth much on the market. The coach's comments re: Pouliot indicated that they might be going in a different direction. Which D-man do you want in the draft? I'm assuming Seth Jones goes first overall, and after that the BPA will be forwards. If you buy out Vinny, who replaces him? If you buy out Carle, who replaces him?

I've changed my mind in the sense that I just want one of Drouin, Mackinnon, Barkov, or Nichushkin. Unless we win the lottery obviously. I'm getting very greedy, I realize.

theres no point in buying out vinny. he brings great leadership and has a huge role, and collects points and fights..his contract is like 7.8 mil a year til like 2020 isnt it? if were not gonna trade him and get something good that we need and give stamkos or (gudas..jk) the C ..then why buy him out and make him an RFA? its too big of a hole to fill and were getting nothing in return lol

get rid of lee get rid of aulie hes a giant p*ssy...literally... unsure about brewer...id like to keep carle, hedman, gudas, and salo..barberio looks alright just a little small but whatever hedman and salo combine to be like 14 ft tall on skates lol

not sure who the options are to replace them..and i hope we get drouin
