Brutal....just brutal season. Even when they were mostly healthy about a month ago, they were not a competitive team. The D was clearly not good enough all season and the "high energy offense" never clicked on all cylinders and seemed to be missing a piece. With the exception of Jake and Simmer, nobody consistently stepped up. I just don't know where to even start with this team to fix it anymore.

In my opinion, they aren't this bad. A few key moves, and their right back at it next year. The future of this team is still very, very bright.

Why play Knuble at this point? Get Rosehill or McGinn in there, esp with guys like Keleta and Ott running around. Knuble adds no value at this point.

On the contrary, Knuble sets an example of professionalism and playing each shift like it means something. He deserves to play.

Let me ask you this: How much did Rosehill dressing in the last game deter Chris Neil from running around at the Flyers' skill players? McGinn is with the Phantoms.

How the (frank) in the world can they play briere? if he's hurt, like a concussion that lingers, their whole off season is screwed. am i missing something? they hold out players on the trading block, why not danny? maybe i don't understand the amnesty rules....

Your not. It's the flyers risking their future to do Danny a favor for his service. I don't see it any other way. This isn't a tryout for the flyers. When players talk glowingly about the flyers it's situations like this with certain players that they hold in very high regard

As far as a bright future. I see them at best in the middle of the pack in the NHL. Nothing real special

I think with one more loss, some of the kids should play.....as far as Rosehill, he did do it wrong the other night....Neil only will respond if his skilled players are ones with a target....had Rosehill, threw some hits on Alfreddson or Turris, he would have gotten the response he was looking for....instead he was frustrated because he got leveled by Neil, and spent the night looking for payback....this is where Rinaldo has VASTLY improved this year....he gets his roll.

While I agree with you here, the flip side of the argument is that some of it is out of respect for Danny, and you also preserve some glimmer of hope of being able to trade him during the summer if he comes back and plays fine/well. His real salary plummets after this season -- believe it or not, his trade value is actually going to go up a bit.

There are a lot of pieces....but after this debacle, there are an awful lot of questions, this team regressed badly....I was more sold on the Richards-Cater-JVR nucleus , and yet after one bad year, he blew it up.....and eventually gave JVR away for a #4 d man...

PANIC move...needed d and nothing was working out properly in FA market. It was a gamble I guess.

I wonder if this is the same source that told him Crosby had concussion symptoms.

too much risk for an org w/ pronger, nic and MAB already on the shelf...we'll see. if danny is hurt, any reports of bryz coming back are premature.

Schenn is turning into a stud. Only 23 years old.... He is the only Flyers player who gets a lot of ice time and is a plus player. Leads in hits, block shots
