Peter Tessier: Buffalo Pounded Jets do their part in trying to get into the top 8 by pounding the Sabres 4-1.

So much for all that ‘free energy’ Steve Ott said teams get in the MTS Centre, it did very little for anyone on Buffalo.

- Peter.Tessier

Well....except Ott himself. He crushed Enstrom and Hainsey (or was it Clitsome?).

The Jets beat a not so great Buffalo team. Big whoop. Way too many hyperboles

This rant is a day late, a dollar short and is laughable. A few close misses, a few blown calls and this over-the-top blog is your analysis? I personally liked the pounding that Patrick Kaleta, Steve Ott and John Scott delivered to numerous Propellors.

You realize you guys beat the 2012-13 Sabres, not the 2006-07 team?

You're obviously trolling the Sabres fans and I love you for it!

This game was clearly dominated by the Jets. A complete performance.

I loved the Burmistrov line and I like the way Wright plays. Knew nothing of him when he showed up, I can definitely see a spot for him going forward.

I agree with 98% of what you wrote. This Sabres team is bad. The Jets took advantage of it.

The only guys that showed up were Scott, Kaleta and Ott. which is becoming a normality.

It wasn't meant to be a personal affront to Sabres fans. It's a recap of the game and while there were some plays made by the Sabres they did not play a good game. As a guy who watched the Jets blow 5 straight I am familiar with what a bad game looks like.

I like Ott a lot and he is the kind of 3rd line centre the Jets could use.

Pounded the Sabres???
I doubt that!
Physically , the Jets got pounded.
Sabres missed lots of wide open nets, and missed on the scoring opportunities.
If you have nothing to write about, just don't post anything!

Guys, guys. Calm down.

Both teams suck, both teams will miss the playoffs.

Tie breaker goes to the Sabres, who in my opinion have the brighter future.

If the Sabres would have scored on some of those wide open nets, would you still post what you wrote??
This is the same Sabres team that beat on the Penguins, Senators, and Devils!!

The Jets win and there is nothing to write about? I get it, it sucks to watch your team fade to the bottom with not a lot of hope for improvement. But ignoring reality is not going to help.

Both teams had 30 shots. The Jets had 33.3% more missed shots that the Sabres yet scored 4 goals. Miller did not make the saves Pavelec did- and believe me it's a rarity to type that about Pavelec.

The Jets outhit the Sabres, and out scored them, so we should all commend the Sabres for such a great game?

Keep at it sling blade.

Wow, looking at a lot of the comments from Sabres fans "A couple of bounces, a couple of missed shots", reminds me of what the Flames were saying for years, before they had the common sense to blow it up.

Besides, weren't we playing a Buffalo team that had won three in a row? Weren't you apparently at your best over the last week or so?

You got pummeled. Deal with it.

Two bad teams. The better bad team won.

It is what it is although the 'Peg fans sounded like they just won the Cup !

The Jets are in a playoff race. It was a big win on home ice......are you really complaining about Jets fans being happy about a win?

No. Not at all. I admire their passion. I just think last night they sounded too much like Hab's fans. You know, big wind up slapper goes twenty feet wide and the entire crowd goes "AAWWWWWwwwwww".

Yes the Jets won, and dont get me wrong the Sabres were outplyed, but one bounce the Sabres way early and it wouldve been a completely different game. take into account the first Jets goal was a crazy lucky bounce, and the Sabres missed numerous chances that should've gone in, I wouldn't say they pounded the Sabres. Not sure who the statistician was last night but I caught a replay of the game later on last night and counted the hits as unbiased as possible and they turned out 27-21 Jets. There is no way they had 39 as the stat sheet indicated, not even counting pushes. Congrats to the Jets, they deserved the win, but it wasn't nearly as lopsided as you indicate it was

The Jets fans are known for being loud. Couple of factors play into this: No hockey for 16 years, sellout crowds and small building.

The Jets themselves specialize in missing the net. Nothing more exciting than seeing Bogosian or Kane fly down the wing and let a slapshot go, missing the net my 3 feet and going all the way down the ice. Great stuff right there.

Buffalo didn't put their skates on until there were 12 minutes left in the game. They were thoroughly outplayed. Just like they were in the NJ win, the Ottawa win, (insert win here).

They're terrible. No sugar coating.
