Remember Steve Bernier after deadline when he got traded from San Jose to Buffalo for Campbell, he got a hat trick, now he plays on the third line for NJ.

At the time of that deal I was just happy that the Rangers could get a sucker to take that terrible contract, the fact that we got a top D man for a decade or more is just icing on the cake.

Neglecting that John Moore had a very good game as well, looked solid defensively and his skating is superb... Then again against Hamrlik he looks like Lidstrom.

Gaborik is 31.

People are shocked that the Rangers traded an aging player for a few promising players in their early to mid 20's and don't know how to react.

Because I've watched him play and haven't relied on his draft position to predict his future pt production.
