That seems like an eternity. I can't imagine missing the playoffs that many years in a row.

In fact, if I was the Canucks, I’d talk to him tomorrow and it would go a little something like this…

Luongo- “Hey Mike, you wanted to chat a little bit about yesterday?”

Gillis- “Yah, I just wanted to clear the air and let you know where you stand with us going forward.”

Luongo- “Okay”

It's not a big deal, I feel for Lu because he's a good tender, but it's not hurting the team as is. Who cares about next year, that'll sort itself out later. Having bad contracts hasn't stopped the leafs from getting better, it didn't stop the islanders from waive Rick D.

It should, because it is.

The cap going down did stop the Leafs. And (frank)ed them for years. About where the Canucks are now when the Leafs poop the bed.
