If reiger gets a 2nd and can unload salary for Stafford, I'm happy.

I don't really see a need to move Pominville unless the return is too good to pass up. I certainly wouldn't get rid of him just because. He still has value here and consistently puts up points each season along with his durability. The problem with Pominville is he doesn't deserve to wear the "C" on a team with the likes of Vanek and Ott now. Additionally, he would be better suited on the second line where the pressure to win wouldn't fall on his shoulders. So, I would try to resign him for a three year extension at 5 mil a season and try to find pieces to replace him on the first line. Buffalo has some extra picks and cap space to bring in first line players.

Stafford is the guy that needs to leave today as he hasn't lived up to his salary and shows inconsistency night after night. Plays with little to no passion and how long can we keep saying the potential is there when it never comes?

Agreed on Stafford, Vanek has never struck e as "C" material. Myers blew that chance, and someone else brought up a problem with Ott wearing the C in terms of respect from refs.

I agree with all of this. I think Stafford is the only one that gets moved today, hopefully he brings back a first. Then put his A on Ott. Or, put a C on Ott for only away games and let Pommer keep it for home games. Like Briere and Drury a few years ago.

I picked Miller ,Stafford and Pominville.

I like Ennis, he tries harder than most on this team. and of course I love Vanek.

I also don't think Hecht would get any return...and as long as he's getting 4th line minutes and PK time, I like him on the team

Agree o Ennis and Van.

Hecht is a good fill in for injuries but seems to end up taking the younger guys minutes every game if things are not working out. pretty much every game this season.

I agree with you. Hecht has played his ROLE fine this year. He was never expected, after signing for 1M, to be the savior and win games for us. He was brought in for his experience and familiarity of Ruff's system and this organization. He doesn't cough up the puck in his own end, and he makes safe plays. How much more can you ask for a fourth line player?

DOUBLE this.
I don't want to participate in a poll asking me who i want to trade just to no longer see them on this team (OK, except for Stafford) unless i know what the return is.

The problem was he was getting too many minutes early in the year. If he had been a 4th line + PK only guy all year, people wouldn't be pissing and moaning about him as much, IMO.

If the return is enough, trade anyone on this team! I would start with Stafford though, I can't stand watching him anymore. Pommer is a good guy, but this team needs a new direction and as Captain of it, he just has to go...part of the business side of it. Miller, while a very good goalie, I'm sick of his constant whinning - he's a head case and I think he is a problem for the others. Now, can we trade Rolston for Housely straight up? Lastly, time to cut Darcy loose. This roster is his, and he was the one who told us that he had 2 # 1 centers with Connely and Roy - how did that work out...now we have none!

That's coaching. The player doesn't decide how much ice time he gets. I agree that it was a strange move to put Hecht on the first line and move Cody down to the fourth, but again, that's coaching. Hecht has played well on the fourth line for us and his salary is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I gotta say on Miller's behalf that he's played very well all year. I know the numbers don't show it, but if you've watched the games all season you half to admit that he's been one of our best players that gives us a chance to win every night. Bad defensive breakdowns, leaving the opposing forward wide open in the slot, giving up too many 2 on 1's (especially on the PP), and just plain ugly defense has hung Miller out to dry on most goals. He is not the reason we are outside looking in to the playoffs! I don't think you trade him unless the offer is too good to refuse or you think there isn't a possibility to sign him to an extension.

I'm not even talking about that crazy cody-on-the-4th-line nonsense, I mean Ruff's over-use of Hecht earlier. And yeah, it's not Jochen's fault, but the fans here hated seeing his minutes be so high, and I agree, but I don't hate on Hecht for it.

Miller has been as bad as his numbers have been. He is the Captain of this team and I think it kind of handcuffs Pommer. Next to Stafford he is their biggest underachiever. Add his whinny manic I'm so cool attitude and him calling people out in the media, it all adds up to a bad locker room. The cancer needs to go. Besides that he is the most over rated goalie in hockey. I would have traded him years ago after the first time he called out his teammates in the media.

I take it you haven't been watching any of the games this year if you think Miller has been bad. Did you know that Pommer is the captain? Not Miller?

Have you ever been around a professional sports team. Miller is the captain, Pommer wore the "C" . Miller is so over rated. All goalies at this level make a few great saves a game. Miller is good for atleast one if not two cheesy goalies in most game. He is a big mouth me first player and needs to go before anything ever changes in Buffalo.
