My list is as follows:

1. Jones. He's a fast learner, a big, mobile guy and marketable.
2. MacKinnon- Drouin looks so good because of this guy
3. Drouin- smooth skater and great hands. Would be good
4. Nichushkin- big, playmaking forward
5. Barkov- Big, mobile center

Gotta go with Jones. He's going to be a great mobile defenseman. He's going to be a lot like Duncan Keith. I believe, in my heart, that Jones and Siemens could be a dominant pairing. Jones to play positional and jump in on the rush. Siemens to be physical and make live miserable for forwards.

Most people say Johnson and Jones, which would work but both being righties would hinder them.

After Jones, the problem then becomes since the Avs have Elliott, Barrie and Johnson as righties, do the Avs keep all of them or do they trade one of them and who might be on the left side? That will be answered in the future but in the near future: Jones. All the way.

Jones. Drouin's success comes from scoring on terrible QMJHL goalies and doing little dipsy-dangles around defenders.

If Drouin tried to dangle around Chara, he'd get killed.

Avs need better coaching and a piece or two on defense. Forwards are all set, it would help if Jones decided to pull his head out of his (frank)ing ass though. This is not a cellar dwelling forward roster, that is the part that is most frustrating about this season.

Defense sucks, horribly. Even EJ is guilty of sucking.

Our Defence do not play as a unit, they are 8 individuals who go out there try not to screw up. Since they dont cover eachother and are over thinking individual plays they just turn over the puck time and time again

Set the entire coaching staff on fire. The D coach is part of the problem. Goalie coach needs replacing. Special Teams Coach flushed. The more the team tunes him out, the better they play. Sacco needs to be deported immediately.

Jones would be a great addition. Could be a good partner for Johnson in a few years.

Already a lot of great offensive talent on the AVs.

I agree get rid of Sacco, but who instead?

Maybe statistically We're the 4th worst, but trust me when I say we actually have the absolute worst defense.

I went to the game, I knew they were going to win.

"Just dont screw up out there" should be mounted in the tunnel before going out to the ice.

I hope the Avs can pull of a trade with Florida. Stastny and Jones plus an asset for Campbell and Versteeg. Panthers get a number 1 centre to take Weiss spot, they save 2m on cap hit, change of scenery for both Jones and Versteeg, and dont have the financial commitment of Campbell any longer.

I would do that...although that still leaves us with about 4 too many useless defensemen. Really hoping we can get rid of a Zanon/ROB/SOB type of player even if it's for nothing.

ROB is a UFA so hes gone, I think we try and trade Zanon at the deadline, his contract is tolerable. ROB could be a potential buyout, unless panthers want to take oen of those guys in a trade.
