I left the game last night after the 2nd period. If we had not scored 3 in the first I would have been gone after the 1st.
No excuse for a team to come out that flat when your fighting for a playoff spot with about 15 games to go and you are playing half a season. Not to mention your opponent played the night before in to overtime.

This is why I don't want to send in my deposit for my playoff tickets. That and the possibility of playing additional games against Chicago in the playoffs.

Last night’s loss hurt, no question about it, but it did not kill the season. It did not eliminate the Predators from playoff contention. It did not make the Predators “sellers” at the deadline. It was a loss, that’s all. Two points that didn’t happen… that’s it. The good news is… “you get to play again on Saturday.” I didn’t expect the team to reel off 18 straight blowout wins to finish the season and anyone that did was kidding themselves. It was a single loss in a stretch run so…

No offense, Paul, but they're definitely sellers. This team might be able to pull off a miracle and make the playoffs, but they'll just get roasted in the first round, and quite honestly, I'd rather just keep my playoff money.

I'd like to be more optimistic, but I said this was not a playoff team a long while back, and they've done nothing to change my mind.

There was an old man sitting next to me (You're singing Piano Man in your head right now, aren't you?) who tried to use the "they've played great the last three games" argument against my comment that we're sellers. I reminded him how bad the team played the 5 games before that, and that those games all came against the worst teams in the conference. Argument OVER!!!!

Just look up and down the roster. Today Gaustad is centering Clune and Yip in practice. Let me say it again.... Gaustad is centering Clune and Yip. This has to be one of the worst fourth lines in hockey, but this is who Poile strung together to help us get to 'the next level' and make a championship run. Come on!

I'm still rooting for the team to do well, and I think they will over the next couple of games, but I also think April is going to be terrible as they'll have to face decent to great competition, and we've all seen that just being decent is good enough to whip the Predators this year.

I'm just going to put this out there and let you know what I think the result will be:

Nashville will probably not do anything during the summer. They are still in the hunt so they probably won't sell but they probably won't get far if they even make it into the playoffs so they aren't going to be buyers easy. The most that can happen is we miraculously get Dekeyser. Having said that, we have a defenseman or two to unload before next season and one or two forwards to get rid of.

Some of those W's will be daunting, but I think the Preds can pull it off at home. I just have zero confidence in this team on the road unless the road team is sucky.

I hope & pray 50 points keeps us out. I thought for sure 56 or higher would be the mark but several teams have the skids lately.


Did anybody notice how many questionable interference calls not called on the Yotes? I thought maybe 3 or 4 should have been called other than the one called which should have been a high stick as well. Everytime, the preds dumped the puck deep, one of preds was bumped into & slowed them down. I sat in different seats last night, maybe it the angle I was watching the game.

Michigan native, plays at Western Michigan - fairly easy odds in favor of the Wings. I'm not surprised. WMU is just a short drive down from Grand Rapids, home of Detroit's AHL affiliate and Detroit is only a couple of hours away.
