I'm a big believer that Richards is a great hockey mind. I never felt as though he got a fair shake in Minnesota with the roster constraints and untimely injuries. His demeanor and attitude towards the game seems to lend itself to a mix-and-match roster like the one in Columbus. I hope he stays on with you guys after this season. I don't need another round of rampant Lindy Ruff rumors
The Jackets have been left holding their "Richards" for years...
...Unfortunately, so have the Leafs.
Seriously, for the fans' sake, I'd love to see BOTH teams get in. - As_I_See_It
I'd love to see the Leafs get in. People can say what they want about the Leafs, but they play an exciting brand of hockey. I do my best to watch as many Leaf games as possible. I never regret my decision.
If Richards gets that roster into the playoffs, he should be considered for the Jack Adams. - stormey
Maybe as the runner up, what Mclean is doing in Ottawa is unreal.
On another note, I agree , I probably give 60% of the credit to Bob's play in net and the other 40 to Richards and the way he's having this team playing with no apparent scorer nor star player.
The organization finally has solid personnel in place, which provides stability an confidence. Richards complements the structure by providing structure. The Jackets finally look like they have a system and finally look like they are having fun. I hope they don't mess with a good thing.
