The second 2nd rounder is only if he extends with Pitt. But yeah, I think Buffalo could move a guy like Regehr and get a decent return.

I heard if they win at least 2 rounds OR he resigns? could be wrong. Else it is a third.

Imagine what the Sabres could get for Ott. I know he's great and all but if murray is worth 2 2nd's and Morrow is worth a top prospect you could really make a killing in a Regehr and Ott trade

What is the price for a #1 Goalie, and a Captain forward who scores 25 every year...oh, yes also a winger who plays only in contract years?

Gotta love how a first place team feels the need to make moves to improve while the Sabres GM cannot pull off anything while we sit near the bottom.

I'm not sure either, but a buddy of mine is a Pens fan and that's what he told me.

right.

More on Murray deal: the 2nd pick in 2014 based on Pitt winning 2 playoff rounds OR resigning him and if neither occurs, it's a 3rd in 2014

On Monday, the club acquired defenceman Douglas Murray from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for their second round draft pick in the 2013 NHL Draft and a conditional 2014 draft choice.

The 2014 draft choice is conditional upon the Penguins winning two playoff rounds this year or the team re-signing Murray for the 2013-14 season. Should either event occur, the Sharks will receive the Penguins second round selection in 2014, should neither occur, the pick becomes a third-rounder.

Yes ask Darcy we are on a 3 game winning streak with momentum. No need for any changes.

Now why in the world would you want o trade Ott... every time we get a half way decent player in Buffalo, everyone wants to trade him away

One of the goalies has to be gone this summer. I would be shocked if Ballard isn't waived/traded/bough out at 4.2 million. Malhotra is off of the books at 2.5 mil. Not sure about Booth, Gillis apparently wanted him for quite a long time so I'm not sure if he's gonna give up on him yet. The Canucks definitely won't be big spenders this summer. I think they're going to be counting on the younger players like Kassian/Schroeder/Jensen to step up and make an impact on their ELC's.

You are not going to get players to waive their NTC to come to a team that is not going to make the playoffs....

I'm saying Regehr goes for a 2nd Rounder, regardless of re-signing (Why would he?).

Throw in the Buffalo Bills and you've got a deal. Some NFL Football would be nice, even if they suck.
