Yeah this team is playing with no heart...

Lazy, not aggressive, and heartless

Marleau is clumbsy and only shows up 50% of the time
Thornton has been completely invisible this year and couldn't shoot a puck to save his life

Pavelski is good defesively but is very streaky and hasn't made much of an impact this year.

Time to do an overhaul!

Dump Thornton, Marleau, and Boyle to open up ALOT of cap space, get a solid second line center like derek roy, and mabey a top line winger if possible... and as many early draft picks as we can get

Trade Murray, Boyle, ditch Galiardi, Bench marleau for a game or 2.

Trade Havlat and Boyle for gaborik and a pick

Y'all realize Marleau and Thornton are two of the like 4 players who haven't sucked balls all year, right? Trading the only guys performing and scoring isn't gonna help. Trade Murray so McLellan can't keep playing him over Demers for whatever reason, get burns back on D, try to pick up a fast top 6 winger and let them play the year out. Fire McLellan mid season or off-season cause he's too stubborn to adapt play style to his players abilities and instead insist on trying to force his system onto them when it is obviously not working.

Make some more moves in off season to retool a bit and see how it goes with a full season with a full training camp.

Jensen(our top prospect, great upside), a 1st and a decent roster player.

He was the perfect 4th liner, something we have always struggled to find. Better than Burish in every way.

Well now that we are no longer in a playoff spot, even uber-patient DW has to have McLellan in the hot seat.

Great fighter too, the best in our system over the last couple of years at least, IMO. No idea why he was waived.

You know, knowing uber-patient Wilson I wouldn't bet my house on it.
Some mind-boggling stats:
3 regulation wins in the last 25 games;
it has been almost 2 months (!) since the Sharks won a game by more than 1 goal;
Dead last in the league in goals scored;
Tied with Florida for the least number of ROW with 8 and have been one of the worst teams in the league over the last 2 months.
That's a big enough sample size, IMO. For the life of me, I don't get why Todd McLellan is still the head coach of this team and why no moves have been made by Wilson to shake things up.

Pens got Murray. Never really seen him play, but how is he? Two 2nd round picks seems like a steep price.

Too late, you already traded Murray. What the hell man!?

Yeah - does seem a bit of a steep price if you ask me - one second round pick might have even been over paying a little.

Don't get me wrong, I like Murray a lot. He's big and can really lay guys out. But he's pretty slow and seems to be slowing down a bit more - making those big hits a little less frequent.

So the 2nd second round pick is conditional. Pens must win 2 rounds in the playoffs - or re-sign Murray, else the 2nd second round pick becomes a third round pick.

Still a good deal for the Sharks - but REALLY hoping the Pens at least make it to the third round of the playoffs!
