I don't know anything about Winnipeg's handling of Burmistrov. So, don't apply any suggestion or knowledge to my question as being anything other than an honest question.
When there is no reasonable explanation for a team not dressing a player, it may be an off ice issue. Is there anything in the kid's off ice behavior that has been reported as a cause for concern? |

Peter Tessier: Let’s Talk About Burmistrov
Time to take a look at the Burmistrov argument in greater detail. - Peter.Tessier
No, lets talk about how easy the Jets have it. They only have 1 opponent to play to gain a playoff berth while every other team in every other division has to fight for a guaranteed playoff berth in the conference. Pretty sad when the better teams lose out on post season play while mediocre teams like the Jets are given a bye? Bettmans way of helping insure that the Winnipeg franchise doesn`t fold as fast as the last one I suppose. Time to eliminate divisions so only the best teams move forward! |

Nice write up. After reading it, I can only surmise that he is already long gone.
When he was drafted, I understood him to have a hockey IQ beyond his years, more intelligent than your average 18 year old Russian hockey phenom, willing to take on anything and everything that was thrown at him, and not at a liability when talking about jetting for the KHL. Also, he had what seemed to be an engaging personality. Can't comment on that now though.
He will be blossoming somewhere else and this will be a big mistake for the Jets.

Your 15 years late in your commentary.
Oh, the divisional staggers disappear next year with the realignment. |

I am a sucker for the good skaters. But, it seems to me this kid is a beautiful skater who has good hands. Legs are good, hands appear to be superb, on ice knowledge seems above average. So, what his off ice conduct? |

Great write-up that makes total sense.
For the thread, there's a huge distance between benching a guy for a few games and deciding you must trade away a young talent. He'll be fine. |

Been out of the closet for a very long time. Born a Leaf fan. Like a lot of people who live in Eastern Ontario became a part time Sens fan as well as a Leaf fan.
Also, really like the Flyers and the Oilers. |

Mmm... Let me get this straight...
A former 1st round pick who hasn't put up more than 28 pts in a season is worth a prospect, a roster player and a 1st round pick?
Ok... |

The problem is he has no Finnish like many other Jet players.
He dangles around throws the body makes nice plays with the puck but when it comes to passing and scoring he is useless.
If he had more size he would be a better player. |

I'm not one to throw Weber in a deal.
I know he's useless.
Let's just say if someone had asked a 1st, a prospect and a roster player for Eller, I would tell him he's nuts. |

But we all know its almost a first and Diaz. I dont think Leblanc is gonna make it in the nhl.Maybe Stuart and Burmistrov for that package. |

I'd rather see who they draft with their 1st this year instead of giving it away for Burmistrov... |
