This trade may turn out to be the one that seals the faith of Darcy.
A fifth round pick for a player picked fist by Buffalo in the 2nd round a few years and one in whom we invested lost of time in the Hockey University of Rochester?
Come on!
There are a number of players that should be sent packing ahead of those that are young and hungry to play.
How come we never hear anything close to this, with Darcy?
Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman said he's in the market for "depth" and mentioned "centers" as the trade deadline approaches.
He was quick to point out to reporters that he's happy with Marcus Kruger and Andrew Shaw, though. "Always interested, if we can get better," Bowman said. "I think we've got a good thing going here." When you lead the league with 47 points, there's no rush to do anything major, but there's always room for tinkering.

Despite the denials of GM Darcy Regier, league sources confirmed to QMI Agency Saturday the Sabres are indeed ready to "blow it up" and pretty much every player on their roster is available before the April 3 trade deadline.
Sources say the Sabres aren't going to move high-scoring winger Thomas Vanek or top prospects Marcus Foligno ,Cody Hodgson or Alexander Sulzer. Nobody would take Tyler Myers' contract, but every player is up for discussion.

Rumour of the day:
Grabowski for Stafford - RicoMartin
I'm starting to wonder if this was his call. I know Darcy isn't exactly the Ken Holland of GM's but how could the same guy who got a 1st for Gaustad trade Brennan for a fifth (especially since he's notorious for overvaluing his players). Something's a miss here. Maybe he asked to be dealt?

"Captain Jason Pominville is indeed among those available and he'd be an attractive option for any team. He has a cap hit of $5.3 million through next season and is a heart and soul player who could help anybody. Tough deal to make."
Bruce Garrioch is Canada's version of the New York Post or Hockeyyinsiderr, he's total B.S And also that Pominville quote gave me a good laugh

getting a 1st for gaustad is/was an abnormality, deals shouldn't be compared to that
