Whatever happened to taking shots from the defensemen. It seems we have done this less and less as the season progressed. No point shots then no deflections, no rebounds and or dirty goals are being produced. This team has been out of sync for awhile, first Lindback is shaky and letting soft goals and other teams in the game when we are scoring now he's playing lights out and they can't score. They don't have a full season to get in sync, it's over, get what you can from some players and keep what's going on in Syracuse. Whatever they're doing is Syracuse looks good to me. That is the only bright spot this season. |

Michael Stuart: Lindback Strong in Lightning Loss to Islanders - Michael_Stuart
Outside of Lindback, Gudas was our best player. He took the body, he made simple smart plays, some damn good passes and shot the puck. This guy isn't very big, but whatever he hits, he destroy's. that clown at Puck Daddy called the hit on Versteeg a knee on knee? More like a hip on thigh to me. Lose Brewer (who didn't look bad last night), Lee and MAB. Barberio should get a shot and if don't want Aulie, Korobov is a good alternative too.
Not sure what to make of Boucher. I like him, I think he can coach well, but not sure if this team is the right fit for him. If we keep having games like this then perhaps something may happen. A coaches job is to win games and right now he's not and doesn't appear to be changing that any time soon. Is there a real chance that if we continue to slip down the standing that Boucher will be without a job come season end? And if so would Cooper replace him. |

Wow. Was Gudas impressive or what? Every time he touched the puck the play was slowed down. I also like that he wasn't pressured to just give the puck away (like some other defensemen on this team. Instead, he was calm and made the smart play.
Now, I haven't been on the "LETS FIRE GUY" bandwagon. However, after last night it's hard not to be. When I look at his first year here, we had a clearly defined system of high-octane offense with defense by puck possession. His second year, a clearly defined hybrid trap system. This year, I have no idea what the H&LL he's doing. |

Yeah - I don't even know where to begin with this hockey club.
How do you inject life into them? What is SFYs plan here? What are we doing? How many more seasons are we going to piss away?
Last night, a packed house, very few Isles fans and they stink it up again.
You can't win if you only play 20 minutes of decent hockey. How many more times do we need to go through this?
I am not on the fire the coach bandwagon yet. But for Pete's sake get me a GD transition game. Get me a defense that HITS. Gudas did that last night and the results were great.
I am on the fire the assistants bandwagon though. This will put guy directly on the hot seat next year. |

Do it now rather than later. The new coach has 21 games to work with including the trade deadline and draft then a full summer to implement his system as right now we are not playing with one. Boucher can't even motivate them to shoot let alone play a system, confidence is lost change renew confidence and move forward. |

He's SCREAMING old school defenseman . What a stud, lets hope our coaches don't screw him up. |

I'm gonna catch hell for this, but this I've amended my original yard sale list and I know it will ruffle some feathers but here we go.
Lee- trade if possible, let go otherwise.
MAB- let go or shark bait!
Hall- trade if worth it, keep if not.
Malone- great locker room guy, but made of glass
Brewer- trade or possible buyout candidate?
Purcell- could garner a HUGE return and we possibly have the assets to fill his spot.
Would give us the money to resign Pouilot as well.
Conacher Stamkos St. Louis
Pouliot Lecavalier Killorn
Panik Johnson Connolly
Palat Thompson Crombeen (I'd love to see Artyukhin back )
Hedman Salo
Carle Barberio
Gudas Aulie
Korobov
Lindback
Helenius
That's just over 50m in salary and with ALL that young talent to resign, we'll need it. |

Lightning are probably my second or third favorite team so i watch them at times, yesterday was probably the best game I've seen Lindback play since being on the Lightning. He had a couple of great stops. Two specifically on Matt Moulson in the first and Reasoner in the third |

I see what you're getting it, and it could make a lot of sense for the right return...I'd definitely consider trading him if it meant being able to solidify the line up more.
Having said that though, Teddy's been one of the only ones who's actually been successfully (for the most part) being able to breakout of the defensive zone with the puck. That and I think he'd be sorely missed if traded in terms of secondary scoring, even though he's probably not scoring as much as people would like right now.
I'm still going with the fact that I don't think Poulliot isn't getting resigned, purely based on the fact that I feel him and Connolly are the same player, with Brett being a good deal younger. |

Never mind...Hall is on waivers. Shame, thought he could've been used more effectively. Wouldn't be surprised if a team picks him up. |

He was a non factor last night and I'm not suprized, but sad overall. Question is who fill his spot. |

Biggest question for Bolts moving forward is who is going to win a faceoff. With no Vinny for the next few weeks Thompson is our only faceoff guy worth half a crap. Stammer doesn't know how to win a faceoff. Johnson was good on faceoffs for Syracuse but he got kicked out more than he took faceoffs last night |

I love all these guys who have never watched a Lightning game in their life saying that the team should be moved because no one shows up. |

I agree that he was a non factor, but he's barely played the past month, and he was a really good face-off man last season. It's just a shame as I thought they could've gotten a late round pick for him or something at least |
