1 or 2. Wasn't that bad of a check imo. Perry came into the hit faster and ended up bring in front of him and made contact with the head. Only in the new pussified NHL is that suspend able. |

he wasn't near the puck and it was a head shot
if this happened to a Canadien you guys would get the mounties involved |

So Perry came in fast, made contact with the head and that suspending him is pussified? |

I may be wrong, but didn't they say it would be a phone call? So it would be 5 or less? |

Umm..Anybody who says Perry elbowed Zucker didn't watch the camera feeds in detail. Not one shot in slomo shows Perry using his elbow, as it was well tucked until after the collision. As a matter of fact, the reverse camera angle clearly shows Perry angled in front of Zucker with Zucker's head only impacting Perry's back right next to the Zero of his #10. In effect, Perry cut in front of Zucker and Zucker ran into him. Interference? Absolutely. Elbowing or intentional hit to head? NO WAY. If Stoll doesn't get penalized or suspended for driving Fowlers head into the boards (clearly with his elbow) or penalized for his interference with Koivu in their last game, which directly lead to a Kings goal, how is the 5 + 10 to Perry remotely justified. Let's see if Shanny continues the double standard. |

Asinine decision. Huge double standard when Stoll doesn't get penalized or suspended for intentionally driving Fowlers head into the boards (clearly with his elbow) or penalized for his interference with Koivu in their last game, which directly lead to a Kings goal, how is 4 games to Perry remotely justified. Shanny is obviously still pissed with the Ducks taking out Red Wings in playoffs. |

The only thing NHL disciplinary measures are consistent at is being inconsistent. Perry deserves the suspension but so do a great number of similar offences that didn't get handled as such. |

I was expecting 2 games.
When kaletta was suspended they didn't take into account his previous suspensions because of the time gap however in the perry ruling they use it even though it was 4 years ago. |
