I'm fully expecting the Devils to give the Flyers fits regardless of how each team is playing coming into this game..

Two games against the Flyers may be exactly what we need. The Devils tend to amp up the intensity against division rivals.

On a side note, if we lose I hope Bryz shuts us out being as he's on my fantasy team...

But so are Kovy and Elias so let's light 'em up!

He hasn't been too bad this year or even when we beat them in the playoffs last year. The Flyers have no defense.

Laviolette is still trying to run the same system he was running when they had Pronger, Carle and a healthy Timonen on the blueline. Plus he's never been able to adjust to teams that play like the Devils and Rangers.

A lot of us Flyers' fans wouldn't mind a coaching change. I was a huge Lavy supporter up until a week or two ago. He hasn't shown me anything.

Briere's gone one way or the other, but the other 2 will probably stay.

Things that usually happen in a Devils game.

- If an opponent has a rookie, they will score their first NHL goal.
- If an opponent has a player with a historic slump, they will break it.
- If an opponent needs one more notch to reach a milestone, they will achieve it.
- Whichever defenseman these boards determine to be the current dog of the backline, that player will not be scratched.
- Ilya Kovalchuk will play 28+ minutes.
- Whatever scrub we nominate to skate on the off-wing of Kovalchuk will "look good" but not score a point.
- David Clarkson will fall down for no reason, at least twice. However, if he scores one goal, he will also get an empty-netter.
- The Carter line will be hugely effective, but not erase the memory of the 5-minute major that Bernier took in Game 6 of the Finals.
- Elias will look to the sky in a huff after almost scoring a goal (but will still manage a point sometime during the game).
- Chico Resch will misread a play, even in replays for three slo-mo reviews, before realizing his initial comment was incorrect.

haha so true about Bernier. hate it. spot on for all of this really haha. Elias looking at the ceiling, Clarkson falling. But the first couple of things remind me of the Leafs more than Devils.

I feel that's how people evaluate bryz now, just as long as he's not too bad. Granted he wasnt as bad as lst season, but I still think that contract looks ugly.
