Toronto and Montreal on everybody. This is too easy. MTL will add a 3rd liner that's it. You don't bring someone of importance to distrub the chemistry.

*Jordan Leopold: The Kings, Canes, and Sharks are all very interested in the talented puck-moving d-man. one scout I talked to said Jordan is "the best addition on D for a team wanting to go long into the playoffs."

Has he seen Leopold play at all recently? He's a trainwreck. But hey, over-value him. Please. Let's get this firesale rolling already.

Would love to see Jagr or Iginla on that top line with Kovalchuk in Jersey.. Surprised there isn't any rumors about the Devils going after someone to replace Parise and Sykoras 60 something goals from last season.. The team is struggling to score, we have like 10 million in cap space and like multiple spare roster player defensemen and prospects we could move... The fact there hasn't been any rumors could be good though because nothing ever leaks from the Devils front office when they are going to make a move it just happens.. Only reason I read the rumor blogs is to see who's available an ya just gotta hope the Devils jump on it and surprise everyone like they did with Kovalchuk.

Nothing on J.M.Liles still? I think he would excel in Detroit.

You guys are probably a playoff team. You don't want him?

It shouldn't have counted either way. Doesn't the puck always have to be moving forward for a shootout attempt to be valid?

He's done it before. The second he flipped his stick, Rask was going to be covering that spot...

It's not the hardest save in the world since the puck will never leave the ice. As long as the goalie doesn't overcommit to the right side (like the AHLer did that he beat), then simply getting the pads on the ice is enough - and any NHL goalie can cover the entire net with his leg pads.

I'm just surprised that Rask didn't poke check it away since the puck is so vulnerable.

I'm surprised he didn't just lie down Hal Gill style.

A long time ago, I scored a goal in a playoff game in sudden death overtime using this technique - one of the worst decisions I have ever made.

I swear Phil Bourque did the same thing with the puck on a breakaway when he played for the Penguins. It would have most likely been in the 1991- 1992 season. He also did not score. Hopefully, someone can confirm my memory of this.

Most spin-o-ramas I've seen should be illegal because he clearly comes to a complete stop right at the goalie and tries to jam it home. He's no longer moving forward.

Shootouts are a stupid way to decide a hockey game anyway!

As much as I like Jagr for his playmaking and leadership, he's been hurt for the past two seasons with reoccurring injuries. You can't count on him playing every game for the rest of the season.. It would be a shame to give up anything, let alone anything decent, for him if he plays 2 or 3 games for you. Huge risk...
