I really think that the Leafs need to shore up their checking line. I'm not sold on Kulimen and there needs to be another MacClement type center for the 4th line. If we could get Clowe, to anchor the checking line, his size and strength will become valuable, against teams like Boston and Pittsburgh. We can't expect to dress both Orr and MacLaren, down the stretch. MacLaren has a bit more skating ability, so I give him the nod.

We need to work a Kuli for Chris Stewart trade somehow....

Agreed. We got to beat the Jets, it's another huge week for the Leafs.

If we get Clowe I think it's in response to moving Mac somewhere else. I don't think they are necessarily tied together (you weren't saying they were).

We might be catching them at a good time. They're just coming off a road trip and that first game back, at home, usually is a bastard. We need to jump on them, right from the get go.

Grabovski is miscast as a checking line center. We should be seeking a deal, that brings us back a true checking center, with some decent offensive upside. I don't like our size, up the middle and we need to get the 3rd and 4th lines settled, before the trade deadline. For those who want to trade MacArthur, I say sign him and keep him. He's versatile and can play on any line. If we're going to load up 3 offensive lines, we'll need to have him in the mix.

He does a good job. Im fine with him too, for now, until we see how this roster shakes out.

Shouldn't be an issue when we have a healthy forward group.

I would have the lines be:

Kessel Bozak JVR
Kulemin Grabs Mac
Lupul Kadri Frattin
Komarov McLement Orr

Thats just my take on how I would do it. Limit Lupul until he is up to game speed then decide from there what to do and how to shake things up.

We have enough depth on the wings. No need for Mac anymore, but I wouldnt trade him for peanuts with a potential playoff spot ahead.
