I think Brandon Prust embodies the spirit found in these new Habs. It will be interesting to see how they perform without him in the lineup. I think this spirit has been contagious and the Habs will roll on in his absence.

I'm okay with the Smurfs staying first.... and I'd be more than okay with the Leafs finishing in 8th....

a playoff series against the Habs would be awesome, particularly because with them in such a lofty spot they'd be the favourites...

I can picture the starting line up skating out for the first shift and standing during the national athem, Orr without his gloves and stick, Frazer MacLaren with his teeth freshly whitened and smiling during the entire affair and Grabovski with a fake set of vampire teeth and ketchup on the front of his jersey.... now that would be entertaining.

Good blog EE.

I think this team might be for real, I kept waiting for the total collapse but they might actually challenge for the division this year.

Props to Therrien and Bergevin.

From what i heard Dumont and Pateryn only had to pay the tip. They cant have these guys pay part of the bill. They only make 50k in the A and cant afford paying part of it.

Good blog Mr. Engels

This team is a real beauty to watch. That kind of hockey should be the reference for a better NHL.

I have to say the depth of the team is actually unreal. That's what happen when everybody is buying the coach system. Bourque, Gionta, Eller are better players than last year. Healthy Markov is making every nother D better. Emelin and Diaz are clearly better with one year behind.

Galchenyuk and Gallagher, WOW. Particularely the latter.

I agree on the O'Byrne idea. He would be cheap to get. As for a tougher 3rd liner, Clowe would be great but i would also take a look at LA for Clifford or King.

That beaing said, we will have to give some roster assets because we can't play 8 D and 15 forwards.
