I think he will be offered an identical deal as Getz to stay. If he doesnt sign by TDD, he'll be gone to the highest bidder.

Thats kinda how I see it to. The thing the Ducks have going for them, is that every team is gonna want to get in on this. The trade package could get massive with multiple teams making offers. Still cant believe Getz what he got. But atleast they kept him.

I'd love to see Anaheim try to build a contending team with two 8 million plus dollar cap hits over the next 8 years. IMO the smart thing to do is trade Perry to the highest bidder by the TDL.

Duck Fans, Who do you think will be starting majority of the ducks games from here on out Hiller or Fasth?

Not a Ducks fan but watch theyre games as much as my Kings games. Fasth for sure. Hes gonna be the future with Gibson. Could see the games get split. But I believe Fasth will get more starts.

I'm sure Bob Murray will sign Corey soon! There is no way that he will let him walk when The Ducks are sitting 2nd in the league. Who could we get in return???

I think the Ducks want to give him a 2-3 year deal..I believe that is the hang up
Corey wants a long term...

If Hemsky could play a full season without getting injured it might make sense.

Are they prepared to give him 8 million for those 2-3 years? Anyways, I don't blame Perry for asking for the same deal as Getzlaf or deciding to walk. If he is somehow re-signed then Ryan is probably gone so either way one of those 3 won't be in Anaheim next year IMO.

I am thoroughly convinced that insanity has made the NHL it's permanent home!

Getzlaf gets $8+ million and now Perry may get $9+ million?

I am bewildered and speechless!

Okay, well not really speechless

I'm still shocked they gave * million to a guy that scored 11 goals last year. This is just hoing to haunt them when 2 slightly above average players get superstar money.

Ducks will be hanging out with Minnesota at the bottom of the standings due to horrible contract.

Perry had 60 points last year. Is that 8 mill worthy? If he followed up the 10-11 season with a similar year then yes but his production dropped by 38 points. 38 POINTS!!!!!!

The whole team had an off year last year, judging what these guys will get paid o. Just last year is plain stupid. Perry is a hart trophy winner and cup winner. Calling that slightly above average shows that you have zero right posting on a board about hockey

If they offer Perry the same contract as Getz, you're going to see Bobby moved for under his value to make room. The Ducks seem to stay at a moderately low cost when it comes to salaries. They don't generate enough income from ticket sales, and rarely have a sell out unless it's full of opposing fans.

As much as I would enjoy to see Perry stay a Duck, I think Anaheim will be more likely to get top value for him in the trade market. You can't deny his chemistry with Getz and Bobby, but at the end of the day will the team spend the money?

Time will tell.

Maybe he will sign a matching 8 year 66M contract on Monday/Tuesday.
