Dangerous hit, but not worth of a 5 minute penalty... Momentum change at this very moment. |

Any word on when Gorges' funeral is going to be?
I really hope they get Celine Dion to sing the Power of Love.
It would be a beautiful final send off. - Atomic Wedgie
Bozak also avoiding a hearing for gross face-off misconduct. |

Scattered thoughts:
- I thought Bozak was just a place holder until we found a better option? I'm not saying Kadri is the ideal long term solution to our #1C problem just yet, but he's the best we'e got.
If Bozak is a third line center going forward, get him on the third line.
- Surely Gardiner gets in now? Right?
- The entire team looked tentative and hesitant all game after that Brown penalty. I can't stand the NHL's approach to officiating (overly involved game managers who think they need to set the tone early, or some BS).
- I can't jump on Scrivens too much, but that was a rough outing. For a goalie who thrives on getting in the right position and letting pucks hit him, far too many went right through him. He looked like Caspar the Friendly Ghost on a few of those goals. |

How does that guy continue to lace up the skates, a true marvel and spokesman for whining. |

I heard the Canadiens are sending imprints of the boards to the league head office. |

In the NHl, you can whine your way to more favorable officiating, apparently.
This goes hand in hand with the "make up call" mentality that permeates the leagues. |

This although it should have been a minor. I dont think that anyone can argue that the leafs lost because of it. |

I thought the Lefs did a good job of weathering the storm. Sure, they gave up the one goal on the 5 min. major, but on fresh ice, it could have been a lot worse. The Leafs didn't look great all night, but had the game tied. That blown puck-drop is what killed the Leafs. Mistakes like that by referees/linesmen are inexcusable.
In the end, the Leafs didn't really deserve to win that game, but they didn't deserve to lose it the way they did. Toronto was lucky to still be in the game mid-way through the third, but Montreal got the lucky break that won them the game. |
