I don't think he'll get suspended, just because Stajan came back. I could see a fine though.

While the Wild were not the best team in the first period, they were clearly not 'just as bad' a team as Calgary in the 2nd and 3rd. In the game, we had a goal taken away by an inch, hit two posts, and peppered a netminder that played very well. We didn't even ALLOW A SHOT on your 5 min major. Domination. Outshot the Flames 30-21. Coyle was looking for the chin, but IMO didn't connect. Stajan played the entire 3rd. Coyle will get slapped on the wrist.

Watch from 0:25-0:27 repeatedly in the video that Colin has embedded and explain how that's not connecting.

Calgary was so lucky to get a point!

I can see why he got a penalty but there is no way he deserves a fine or suspension for that hit.

Injury or not, he lifted his shoulder & contacted the head. Being a 1st time offender, he'll probably get off with a fine or a 1 game suspension.

As for the game, we suck. Heaven forbid this team overachieves and puts an effort in so they can be over a .500 team. This is the same old same old lost identity core that has missed the playoffs for the last 3 years mediocrity. Time to change the core and culture.

The Flames looked like awful, the Wild slightly better. Its painful watching these games. To use the word domination as our Minny friend did is hillarious. No team dominated... Just a sad game...
As for the hit. If it wasn't as late as it was, it probably goes unnoticed. Stajan didn't see it (he dropped his hands and was looking up ice). Shoulder to the head, plain and simple... I don't think its a suspension though... fine and a finger Shake from Banahan

I agree injury should have SOMETHING to do with it, but not everything. Clearly this was a direct hit to the head, late, with intent, no adjustment made by Stajan. Just because his jaw isn't made of glass doesn't mean Coyle should get off scott free. Just like if it were the other way around, Coyle shouldn't get 10 games.

I would rather watch a ringette game than your team. Yu guys are painful to TRY and watch. There must be 17,000 idiots that pay to watch that 41 times a year in Minnesota. Please go to another division as soon as possible

JBo i still struggle with his "defense" man can't move a 5 year old in front of the net but Stajan is actually impressing me. Still not 3.5 mill impressing but I no longer include him as the throw in on BS trade suggestions...

He got the major, that is fitting. I would be surprised if there isn't something said or done in the next game. Since I doubt it will be Stajan himself, who is it going to be? Begin? Jackman? Iginla?
