Hartnell - Giroux - Voracek
Briere - Schenn - Simmonds
Read - Couturier - ________
Knuble - Talbot - Fedotenko

Timonen - Schenn
Coburn - Grossman
Meszaros - _______

Looking forward... I love our top 6 forwards. They have great chemistry on those two lines and they all have really started to perform. Couturier needs to fall back in to his role of last year as a shut down 3rd line defensive center. Put Read on his wing when he returns and acquire a reliable defensive minded forward to play on his wing and the offense is in really good shape headed down the stretch. I actually like our top 4 d-men a lot as well. Obviously you can't have too many good dmen. They need to acquire one, just get the best guy they can pull off.

I like this team moving forward this season!

Who are some potential wingers and dmen who could be available at the TDL?

Grossmann has really been a rock, after being a bit ineffective in the first couple games. He's turned into a great pick up by Holmgren. Generally smart positional play and his physical game has been great.

Young Zac is doing a good job this year. He was great yesterday.

Just a quick note. Grossmann has 7 hits but it wasn't a game high. Rinaldo had 12 hits.

He's easily been the team's best defenseman in my opinion.

Thanks. Fixed it. It was Grossmann's season high.

It's tough going through the growing pains with these guys but they have a really nice nucleolus to build around. Being Philly fans we are hungry for a champion and a bit impatient with our teams. That said it takes time, they are young and getting better all the time. Be patient and enjoy the growth period, they are going to be a true force in a year or two.
Side note, while not an all-star by any means, I am very impressed with Gervais. I knew nothing about him. He is a nice pickup. I think he is a very serviceable 6-7 guy.

I wish there were a way to understand and stop the slow starts (especially) in day games. It hasn't just been these guys or this coach, it seems to be a Flyers trait for years and it's really annoying! But yesterday was a fun one to watch. The Flyer TMM penalty was crazy because it wasn't just one of those poor timing ones, it was six guys out there engaged in playing.

Nice to see the PP clicking.

If one were a Winnipeg fan, would you take exception to some of the penalty calls yesterday against the Jets?

I guess there were questionable calls on both sides, but I think the Flyers came out on the better side of things.

I have liked Grossman since they got him. The flyers will be much better off once Mez gets back. Gervais has his good moments then some horrible moments. I would prefer him to be the 7th D man and shuffled in and out depending on the opponent.

I think Couturier will be fine offensively down the road. He can create his own scoring chances he just doesn't always shoot when he should. Another solid winger and a very gogood face off man would be welcome. Not sure who that would be.

I could see Mcginn, pick, prospect getting traded for a Dman.

There were real mystery calls on the Flyers, too. I don't think so.

When he asked Parros to fight the other day I found a new level of respect for him.
I love him. That was a very brave thing he did, to take one for the team there.
He has a little of the bat poop crazy, do whatever it takes to win, in him.

Maybe it seemed that way to me because the Flyers made the most of their PP chances where the Jets did not.

I was pretty sure that when Mez gets back that Gervais sits, but you know what, I wonder if Mez's return will send Gusty back down.

I am sure this will not be popular on here, and I personally want to see Gus play more.
But I am not certain about it anymore.

comments on a good SB nation jets blog were bemoaning some of the calls.

from my flyers perspective, i thought kane earned the extra 2 for that third period scrum, but those folks were not impressed.

Throw a fit Pronger in there and you have a top 10 team in the league, maybe top 5. Home games against Toronto bring back bad memories.

The thing is that you have to kind of wait to see how Meszaros is first. So you have to keep Foster for a little while just to make sure. So they could send Gustafsson down temporarily, until they're comfortable that Meszaros is okay. Then I'd like to see Gustafsson as #6 with Gervais as 6/7.

Maybe on paper. But not with the Flyers team game as it is. They need to shore up a lot of areas on the ice. More then what just adding a Pronger would do.

Luke Schenn hit him every chance he had..

I remember a rumor after Homer pulled off the Carter trade to Columbus.
It said that Homer offered Carter to Winnipeg for Evander Kane and their first draft pick and was turned down.
