Cam Gore: Sharks snap streak against the Blues

We're one game away from the 1/3rd mark of the season. We're sitting at 2nd in the Pacific and 5th in the West with a record of 8-4-3, and a game in hand over most teams.

If I had told Sharks fans this at ther start of the season, most would have been happy with the results and taken them in a heartbeat. I think we're right where we should be in the standings.

I think the issue most fans, including myself, have is not where we sit in the standings but the way we got there. The overall trend has been downward and I think that is what is troubling. But I still have hope for this season and this team.

Well I'm happy with this win. Again I didn't get to SEE, it I had to track it online. However, a friend that I trust (that's usually a little more negative...out of pride...than he has to be) said it was the best that he'd seen us look in a while. To me this is a great thing. St Louis ALWAYS seems to have our number, and I'm always worried about playing them. This year it's them and the Ducks that I'm worried about the most. I can respect the Blues, and their fans are much classier than many other teams fans....those fans that would have already been on our page talking trash with no merit, for no reason. Hopefully, this win is a sign that we are getting out of our slump.
