Pretty bad. So much talent on this team and they frequently underachieve.

I rarely post on other teams blogs...but the lucky bounce excuse is really getting old. How about that lucky bounce off of Hossa's stick other wise he burries that into an open net. With 2 days off this lethargic group has no excuses they were thoroughly outplayed and old jumbo Joe and charmin Marlowe were MIA once again. They played like they have for the prior six gmes. Wilson has been patient and has over paid for this underachieving group far to long. Good luck with this bunch the rest of the year and then Wilson can finally blow this team up and start over.

Sharks reverting to their true form after having the softest schedule in the league to start the season. Niemi, Cloture, Pavelski...the rest of the team you can have. A bunch of clydesdales in mud.

Yeah, they're pretty stacked when you look at their roster. They could really bring in a lot of young talent if they decide to blow it all up. I actually have liked most of Doug Wilson's moves as GM, he's assembled a pretty talented roster but they really have a weak prospect pool at this point.

I've liked quite a few of Wilson's moves....but there are quite a few I haven't.

Unfortunately with every hole he seems to try to plug, he creates another one. Now our "superstars" are starting to show their age a bit.

As far as Burns - hard to point too heavy of a finger at him being he's still recovering (apparently) from surgery. If you ask me, McClellan shouldn't have him in the lineup. Irwin I thought looked better personally.

First time I have watched Sharks this year.

Slow is the only word that comes to mind.

This team will sink a long way in the standings if they cannot accelerate their pace. They were slow on the attack and even slower in getting back to help on D. Not sure how you fix a team that looks like they have run out of gas 14 games into a shortened season.

On the other hand, this may have been just an off night for them and I saw them at their worst. But, they looked woefully inadequate against the high paced Hawks.

Just because a player goes down doesn’t mean a penalty is deserved....

Joe Thornton never got that memo. Never seen such a large man crumble at the slightest touch the way he does. Pa-thet-ic.

Sure the officials made a mistake, Toews should have had 5 for fighting, 2 for boarding, 2 for instigating, 2 for instigating with a visor and a ten minute misconduct. But I am guessing that you also pointed out the officials and the NHL messed up last season when Thornton and Clowe took turns using Toews' head as a speedbag effectively taking Toews out for 30 games and not getting penalties or suspensions?

The real reason the Sharks lost and continued their losing ways has less to do with poor officiating or unlucky bounces and more to do with the fact this Shark team is painfully slow, low skilled and play without any real heart or committment. The Sharks simply have no answer to the Hawks' speed and skill. And the one area the Sharks were built, big and physical doesn't work when the teams above them are always 2 steps ahead of them.

The number of times this guy mentions how lucky the Hawks were is ridiculous. It's a worn out clique but it's true. You make your own luck. And SJ will never win anything if they're looking to Thornton to lead them. Boston recognized what he was and did something about it. Full marks to the Bruins. Too bad for SJ.

Well I didn't get to see this game, I only tracked it online. It seemed from there that the calls were going Hawks way, but that may have been legit...like I said I didn't see the game. Our Sharks haven't been playing their best lately that's for sure, and they could have taken bad penalties out of frustration, and reading this article it sounds like there were a lot of bad bounces...but all that aside, our team is an amazing team, I still feel better than any other team in the league, we just definitely are NOT playing like it right now. The season is far from over, we WILL make the playoffs, I don't care if other teams fans try to discredit us, they always do and their comments always have no merit or support. The Sharks will provide us with another entertaining season like they always do, and as a fan I'll love every minute of it....I actually love being the underdog. Again, from tracking online last night it seems like we were not there at all and deserved the loss...Hawks are a great team and deserved the win last night...however they can't talk too much trash because I was at our first game against the Hawks, and we deserved that one for sure, hawks were not there at all, they only deserved one goal and the rest were luck.

Who knows, Hawks may win the cup again this year, I doubt it, I think they will burn out by then, but I'm loving all this trash talk now from Hawks fans, it'll make it much sweeter when they get dumped. Remember 29 teams DO NOT win the cup every year...of course I want the Sharks to win the cup every year, but every year my Sharks give me badass hockey to watch.

WOW!!! I did just watch the Towes/Thornton fight...what the hell is wrong with Towes? Not only is he stupid for picking that fight, but he was fighting for a good 30 seconds before Joe realized it and whooped his little ass. That is one thing that Hawks CANNOT do is win a fight, they are all pansy little kids. I've NEVER EVER EVER seen a Hawk win a fight, and they always pick a fight when the other guy isn't even looking...and they always pick our non-fighters like Joe and Dejardin. Hawks, congrats on the win last night, but I suggest stop letting the world what giant vaginas you are

My statement still stands, I do notice that it's from two years ago and that the Hawk is about a foot taller than the King. The King was bloodied and lost, but not as "hands down"as most fights I've seen like Keith vs Dejardin. I only see the Hawks "fight" Sharks and it never ends up well for them. I don't really pay attention to the Hawks when we aren't playing them, I'm more worried about teams like Blues and Ducks. The Hawks have a great record this year no doubt, but they've had an easy schedule and only play tough teams when they are slumping. The Hawks will fizzle out...but as far as fights go I'm still waiting for a Hawk to pick a flight with Clowe, but they won't...they just talk then run away.

It's annoying when facts get in the way huh? I'm sorry it stings so much to hear that your team isn't perfect, but calling me stupid...whether I am or not....will not fix it. You have to admit there is a problem with your own team before you can fix it. I'd start with getting guys that are tough....you might have to leave Chicago to find what those kinds of people look like. Either way, the reason that it hurts you so much is that you know it's true...what you DON'T know is that I'm the best friend you have right now for telling you. Today sucks to be you.

Strong words coming from a guy (presumably) backing a team full of taint. btw...taint no way the sharks win a cup.

Interesting series of "points" above. Hawks cant fight but should pick on Sharks fighters? Too bad Josie couldnt punch Toews into the net...he hasnt been anywhere near putting anything in the net in awhile.

Cool it. March is almost here...the minnows will win their fair share, then golf in May.

Ok, so Bollig your "fighter" can best Tootoo, who is about a foot and a half Shorter than him...good job...and then the second video actually shows Jackman getting the better punches, not sure what you are trying to prove....but my points still ALL stand...I have seen these videos now and your Hawks are 2 and 1 in fights....chosen by Hawks fans....and he is STILL too scared to fight any of our fighters. He didn't come to Towes defense after he got his little ass whooped nor Keith's defense after he did. Face it, no fighters. Your team is weak.

If you want to see what Tootoo getting his ass whopped looks like, check a few years ago when he tried to fight Staubitz as a Shark ( I know it's dated, but since you brought up Tootoo)

What's it say when a team full of "taint" makes your team look like scared little girls that talk a little trash then jump on the bench. MY point in saying that they can't fight is that...they can't. Then my point in saying that they should take on tough fighters is that ...if the thought they could fight and had any honor or courage...they would. The game I went to, I saw several Hawks try to talk trash to players like Colture as they skated by, then suddenly when Clowe came over they'd lower their head, put their tail between their legs and hide on the bench...soooooo badly that I was embarrassed for them. Face it..you got 4 points off the Sharks so far this year, but you have no balls...your team is weak and cowardly...deal with it

Yeah, that's it.

You're a funny guy, you make me laugh and everything, but I think maybe you should try being serious every once and a while. Might do you some good...you know, join the rest of us here in the real world.

In the real world, your team is just old, slow, bad, and your captain, pound for pound is the biggest, diving, sack of $hit, loser, wussy in the league.
