He had them knocked out right near the end of the lockout while practicing up at Winsport...

That was really a strange game. Honestly, Dallas looked like the Flames did against Minny the other night.
Couple of observations:
Bouwmeester actually looks like the player we signed for, at least on the offensive side) but dear god can he be anymore soft in front of the net???
Did anyone see how Byron got injured? The Fan said it was a slash?? Brutal luck for him though...
Ok, I appreciate that Irving made some big saves but am I the only one who thought he left his playing brain at home? If thats a close game, we don't have a 'W'...

On a completely unrelated issue; the Jets picked up Eric Tangradi from the Penguins.... for a 7th rnd'r. Does anyone else think that that would have been a decent pick up for the Flames? I believe he is a right shot that we REALLY lack.

I thought I heard that Byron was hit in the hand by a shot...

I also loved seeing the Captain finally playing with some passion. If he needs to fight to get fired up, then I'd be ok with him doing it much more regularly.

I really liked the lines from last night. I think Hudler Tangay Cervenka will be one of the best lines in the whole wide world soon. Jones seemed to do OK playing with Iggy and GlenX (after Butler got hurt). Stajan looks like a new man under Hartley, and that is also a nice looking line (Cammy, Staj, Stemp).

I'm looking forward to Friday, and Sunday, and Monday.

Stajan ain't hurting us and a great candidate for a buy out if he starts to, my concern is Butler, how does this guy get in the line up, never mind play 14 minutes.

Smith and Babchuk have to be a better option.
