You can't be a playoff team if your two best players are rookies. It's sad the core group of players on this team have no still or will to win. Sucks!

We all hate losing but this team is not really supposed to compete for deep playoffs runs for another 2-4 years. These guys are mostly place holders for the stockpiled talent waiting to get their chance at the NHL. It has nothing to do with Dineen, this team came in out of shape and not ready to play. The goaltending is awful and the defense is terrible. We have some lazy or hurt forwards playing poorly.

Where I do blame KD is when he toyed with the line chemistry and broke up Mueller, Huberdeau, and Shore. That was not smart.

We were ahead of rebuild schedule last season. This is a strange short season, I hope they don't do anything too drastic as a result. We have to resume our waiting, the future is still coming!

Nothing can be about one player, and I also agree Dineen goes nowhere. However, to me it's obvious that Weiss came in unprepared for the season, and has been lackluster thus far. IS this an unfair criticism? I've never had a bad word for him in the past, but this looks like an unhappy player, and he's appearing to be lazy.

Was it halloween last night in Florida? Everyone came to the arena dressed up as empty seats.

I think he wanted to see how Versteeg's speed would mesh with Hubs and Shore, same with Mueller with Weiss and Flash.
I think it's very hard to pin point the problems of last night considering we scored FIVE GOALS. I blame Clemmer but only because I do not like him and he seemed all over the place in net. Kulikov made a bad pass in which resulted in the 4th goal. I can honestly say that our D and Goaltending are horrible. I don't know why since we only lost Garrison, and the rest are pretty much the same. Why is Weaver playing so poorly? What has Kuba done? Jovo hurt again! Maybe it's time for Petrovic? Maybe Petro will have the same fire and jump as Shore does. Where's Markstrom? It sounded like Tallon is ready for Markstrom this season, from his interview with Goldie last night.
I personally feel that Markstrom can save the season and I would like to see what Petrovic has to offer. We have nothing to lose, and while people will complain about Weiss and Versteegs play as of late, we scored 5 goals last night and we do have some offense on our team.

This is off topic, but regarding the NHL realignment, they should move Nashville to the Eastern Conference and Winnipeg to the Western Conference. Here is my idea of the divisions. Pacific will stay the same. The Central will be Detroit, Chicago, St.Louis, Columbus and Minnesota. The Northwest is Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Colorado. The Southeast will be Florida, Tampa Bay, Nashville, Carolina, and Washington. The Atlantic and Northeast Division will stay the same.

Guys that's hilarious....will you please stop leaving your old shoes and clothes in the parking lot of the outlet mall in Niagara Falls. It's kind of gross.

Thats the dreadful "club red." They kicked all the season ticket holders out of those sections behind the benches in the first level and opened a extremely expensive club with 4 star food and drinks and carpeting, and its sickening and empty. If Toronto has shown anything its that the very wealthy and corporations that can afford those seats don't have passion for attending games like average fans. The other side of the arena last night, which the cameras do not face was packed. It will be like this for years here now. Damn owners.

I can dig that, but they want Montreal in with us somehow because every 4th license plate here in the winter-hockey season-- is from Quebec. Huberdeau actually has some funny stories about coming down as a kid with his family from Quebec in a camper and camping out in Walmart parking lots and going to Panthers games.

I forgot TRENT YAWNEY was a coach.

Ghost. That is what he was as a player and a coach.

In other news, talk about yellow journalism. Thought this was true. Dineen is good, Panthers have nothing to worry abt, and Theo just needs to play ....a bit ... better. Steal a cpl games. Lu won't do any different imo...he is in a much better system in Van.

Jokinen...Horton....Booth....Weiss....
Is it possible all their 'core' players were best served as complimentary players and were, um, overrated a tad...hence the yrs of failure?

Career years last year by Versteeg, Kopecky and a couple of your other forwards. Not to mention Jason Garrison is now on the Canucks and Theodore and Clemmensen came down from there career years as well.

That makes the Panthers a 1 year wonder for the playoffs like i was telling you when you were busy trolling the Leaf threads at the end of last year.

For the 100th time, Alex Petrovic is hurt right now. He will not be coming up. We have concerns at all three positions. That is NOT a good thing. Moving Weiss now is almost necessary. Sad but true. The situation in Colorado is interesting. I would move Weiss for O'Reilly. However, he is asking for a ton of money. Maybe the idea of playing with very young and promising talent like Mueller, Huberdeau, Shore, Versteeg, Flash, Matthias... makes him want to sign here. It's clear he doesn't want to play in Colorado anymore. We can fix the goaltending situation this season, but what about in the coming seasons? The isn't signed and Clem is. Markstrom and Clem? To that I say, um no. I just do not trust Clem at all. He is erratic in net. He has to make at least one of those saves the other night. If he does, we win the game. I am all for Markstrom right now, but it needs to be done in a smart regard. Speaking of questioning Dineen, Theo should have been in net the other night, not Clem.

Defense is a major concern right now. Kulikov made a bad play in OT, yes. But Weiss is there and has to cover for him. I am comfortable with Campbell, Gudbranson, and Strachan. Beyond those three, I am not okay. Kulikov is turning the corner offensively, but needs to wise up in his own end. Depth on D i not what it used to be. We do have Petrovic and Robak, but that's really it. Caruso is hurt, and everyone else is a bit young; Matheson, Racine, Nielsen. That's an area I'd like Tallon to address via trade.

For all of you morons who still don't get Club Red, here.

Go learn. Understand that they MOVED thousands of season ticket holders to put that in place, and an annual membership costs upwards of $16,000 a year. No one wants that, and that is why the building appears empty. Go to the games and the exact opposite is true, minus that one area.

I think we have to win the rest of the games on this home stand. These teams are all ahead of us, and teams ahead of us are starting to pull away.

I was at the game Tuesday sitting above club red so I did not notice it so much. Watched last night on t.v. and holy crap that looks even worse than I thought. 17,000 tickets sold last night for that game, and by halfway through the 1st you could see the rest of the lower bowl the cameras passed over was full (as it was Tuesday). It was a tough slog for folks getting there last night, with major traffic issues on I-75 and heavy rain passing through but that Club Red bilked Broward taxpayers out of millions of dollars for nothing.

It really is an eye sore. But for that matter, so is the team right now.
