Scrivens hopefully doesn't have to play too many. He did well tonight, but is shakey at times. |

Someone find the stat, I want to know how long it's been since we've had two big blow-out type games back to back. |

He kind of reminds me of the Monster sometimes. He is very acrobatic but sometimes seems to overplay things and doesn't always seem settled in the net. I think experience may help that.
Carey Price was like that his first couple years and in no way am I comparing the two but if you look at Price now, he's very settled in his net and allows the play to come to him.
That's something I really like about Reimers game. He doesn't overplay the shot yet he still has that acrobatic style in his bag and can call upon it when need be. Best of both worlds. |

Scrivens filled in well.
Let's wait and see what the results are like tomorrow for the knee. Could just be a charlie horse.
Either way I don't think Nonis is inclined to make a move unless Reimer's out more than a month.
Loved the JVR goal. That must have felt so good for him. |

Schenn should be used to losing by 3 goals at the ACC by now.

There is alot more choices then making that trade and considering Vancouver wanted Bozak and Kadri you can basically forget that it will happen.
There is other veteran goaltenders that aren't signed yet that could come in and play backup to Scrivens for awhile.
In fact an alternative suggestion to Luongo is talking to Philly about Boucher he could be a good fill in for Reimer. |

Auld , Roloson, Johnson all UFA's that would cost us nothing for a short-term fix. No trades until the deadline, please |

Screw making a goalie move. The way Reimer's been playing is exactly what we were hoping for. We should run with Scrivens and make the best of it and just let Reimer recover from injury. Besides the way this team has been playing defense keeping shots to the outside, they can manage with Scrivens who hasn't been bad either. Stick with the young group and see what happens. |

Definitely just stick with what they have in the system or go the free agent route. No need to make a panic move even if it's a serious injury. Reimer looked like he could be a permanent starter prior to getting hurt. It'd be pointless to waste assets on replacing him while he's out.
With that out of the way, man has Kadri looked good this year. |

Little worried about the being massively outshot trend....eventually that will result in losses - really gotta close that gap. |

i don't think a loss of Reimer is as detrimental as it was last year. The team as a whole is playing MUCH better right now. A tight team game, short passes, more confidence, more aggressive, contributions from all 3 lines regularly and the 4th line doing what they are out there to do.
While yes, a long term injury to Reimer is definitely bad. It isn't AS bad as losing him last year when the team was in disarray. |
