"The Patrik Elias - Adam Henrique - David Clarkson line is clicking on all cylinders and are proving to be way too much for opposition's 2nd and 3rd defense units."
They were great this weekend. But to be fair, the Penguins 2nd defense unit didn't play either game (Letang/Niskanen). |

Wow Boucher is really lighting it up!
Nice too see we have a goal scoring prospect, does that mean we'll be trading him away?!
Nice weekend for the Devs, keep it up! |

That's true, but in general the last five games or so nobody's been able to stop them. |

I know Henrique is a skilled player, but Elias and Clarky were doing this when Zubrus was on their line. Its Elias and Clarky is what I'm saying. They have top line potential, are playing on the 2nd and are savvy vets who understand PDB system to a 'T'

That's not to take away from Zubrus, but Henrique is even better with them because he seems to play better with better players. Zubrus is our dynamic player like Brylin was a few years ago.
We drafting Anthony Brodeur this year to continue the legacy? If he has any of his dad's leadership skills, he's probably going to be a future NHLer. |

Letang certainly would have helped that power play this weekend. |

I think Henrique adds a lot to the line and makes them more dangerous. I've been impressed with his offensive game this year. |

Tedenby is practicing but hasn't played since being sent down. It's been speculated he's nursing a hip injury from his time in NJ. |

This is why the game isn't played on paper. I'm always surprised when it comes together for the Devils, too.

It is still pretty amazing to remain as consistently good while losing so many good players to free agency. Although I shouldn't be, I am quite surprised by the Devils' start, after losing Parise. |

Well, Im not surprised they are doing well, I am surprised how well they are doing.
Zajac and Josefson healthy lessen the blow of Parise. The Carter-Gionta-Bernier line doing well is critical to our success, and guys like Butler and Larsson stepping up and contributing is what the Devils needed. |

I expected this kind of play from the devils, but I did not think it would lead to this many wins. There have been games where the offense hasn't produced (as expected without Parise), but our D and goaltending has allowed us to stay competitive in those games. We're a tough team to beat on any given night, even if we're not the most talented. |
