And Moulson had 3/4 of the net to shoot at and hit the pipe. Isles were the faster team. They controlled the game.

I really hope Myers found his head up in the press box last night. If their defense can just become respectable then maybe the Sabres can put together a little run.

Either that or Miller will have to keep stopping over 95% of the shots to keep us in a game.

I just watch this team trying to get out of its own end.
I laughed to the point of nauseam last night.
People in the house asked what's so funny ?
I said the Sabres defensive zone coverage.
Grease fire, tire fire whatever you want to call it this team is bad, bad bad in its own end.
We just have to lead the league in brain dead give aways, dont we?

One really cool thing about the boxscore in last nights Sabres-Islanders game is that all German-speakers (except Hecht ) scored for Buffalo.

Seems Miller did a good job. Thats what we expect to see . Now the rest of the team needs to get it together. Vanek hodge and pommer are doing a good job pulling the team along . They can't do it every period . Another win against Boston will build a little more faith Lets see what team shows up tonight.

Who hits the pressbox on D tonight? Regehr is supposed to be back. I would say Ehrhoff, Sulzer, Regher, and Sekera are locks. If it was up to me I'd leave Weber in as well. He has been solid. If Myers comes back in then I sit Leopold and Brennan. If Ruff leaves Leopold in and sits Weber i think that would be a mistake. I wouldn't hate if he sat Myers again either.

I think Buffalos lack of shots last night was because they were not able to cleanly enter the offensive zone. That ability is usually what Myers allows us to do... He is our best at moving the puck past half line along with Ehrhoff. I think we did miss Myers last night in that regard.

Weber is a -3 in the last 5, but I think he should stay in. Playing with Myers against Montreal hurt him.

Leopold has been just as bad in my opinion. He's a +3 in the last three games though so I wouldn't be against sitting Myers again.

I am hoping Scott gets a piece of Chara or Lucic. As most Beantown fans will tell you those guys are too good to fight him though.
