How did the Flames defense let them down against the Hawks? The last second goal? It happens, but if the offense hadn't let them down first it would not have mattered. How many open net looks did the Flames miss...4...5? At least. If Glencross could hit the broad side of a barn with his shot the Flames win 4-1.

Emery played great, but he was lucky too. The Flames still should have won easily, time for some shooting accuracy drills or something.

Still think that we should "Oiler" the season and ensure ourselves one of the top 3 picks, all should be studs.

Will watch for the following tonight:

*Kipper needs to step and play the way he is capable
* Tootoo has always been good at getting under Iggy's skin, time for the captain to drop the mitts and wake the f*ck up!
* Chris Butler over Sarich? looks like Hartley wants to "Oiler" the season as well, maybe the worst defenseman in the Western Conference who doesn't wear Orange and Blue.
*Interesting to see attendance tonight, the Flames on a Tuesday... equivalent to us getting Columbus on a Tuesday.
*If the Flames lose tonight, time for the local media to stop Shilling to this team and tell it like it is, they suck. You would think they were in first place not last if you only listened to FAN960 and read the Calgary Sun

I thought with the new CBA there is no guarantee of anything in the draft? Don't all non-playoff teams now have a shot at the #1 pick or something like that?

If you score with 30 seconds left, you better work your butt off for that last 30 seconds to make sure the other team dosnt throw one right back into your net.

And although I agree the offense missed a few too many chances, and what several shots they did end up having werent great...at the end of the day stronger defense wins many games.

Iggy fighting TooToo? Not worth it IMO

You can't just look at their record and say they suck. Aside from the slumps of Iggy and Cammy and how awful Comeau is, I have no complaint this year. Usually I have a lot!!!

Also, with regards to the lines, I would really like to see someone other than Stajan with the Czechs. Maybe let Backlund take a turn there. Just seems like Stajan is being carried on that line rather than helping it, although he has been playing OK (for him).

How about you ship Stajan to Chicago for prospect(s)/pick(s)? He'd look good centering our 4th line.

Honestly he is perfect for a 4th line role, however in Calgary they need more than that up the middle. I think he has some trade value. Maybe Saad

Yes, but the number of balls in the drum is still heavily weighted to the bottom teams and only one team moves up, so you can only drop one spot from where you finish

So you are happy with Kipper? Butler? The PK, Complete lack of a back up goalie option? The shootout?

No no no! Keep the czech boys with Stajan. #1 They have played well together. #2 Stajan has been playing his best hockey as a Flame with these guys so if we keep that up, if we are south of the playoffs come trade deadline, Stajans value is way way higher.

Actually the guy that REALLY used to get under his skin is gone. Nobody could shut down Jarome better than Lidsrtom. Jarome should be a happy guy for the 1st time in DET.

Not gonna complain about Kipper, he'll come around. I could complain about Butler, but for a 6-7 he's fine, as long as they keep his minutes around there. Back up goalie? Never had one, hopefully Ramo comes in when the KHL season is done. PK needs work, shootout, well they are 0-2. Some nice moves VS chi town but Emery was hot. Vancouver shoot out was weak.

Agreed. From a bag of pucks and our 3rd to a bag of pucks and our 5th.

Ok, seriously, he has been better and I've been thinking the same thing. Maybe someone gives us a 3rd, maybe even a 2nd (probably not) if he keeps this up. Hey maybe he goes on a 50 goal pace with these 2 and gets us a 1st!

Aaaaannnnd then the Feast resigns him to a 7yr/ 6mil per contract
