while he has played pretty good....5 games is not enough time to gauge consistancy.
Hopefully he keeps it up. - yemrots
when i watch the games he is playing with more confidence.. challenging again.. i think its more that than anything that has me feeling good about him in the crease again. |

true, but his presence in the net has changed. He's LOOKS like he did in his first great run his rookie season. He's not sitting back - he's challenging again. He's a lot more comfortable in the net than at any point last year.
he's back to playing the way he's always played, rather than the way Allaire tried to make him play last year, IMO anyway |

Agree, he does look more confident out there. Doesn't look scared anymore.
that said..... he still allows way too many goals through him. |

as long as he (frank)ing stays there and doesn't try to handle the puck |

Look at some of the players that have scored on him.
Crosby
Malkin
Ovechkin
Richards
Gaborik.
I know that at least 3 of the goals scored by those guys were stoppable, but not going to hang my head when those are players that put the puck in the net. |

Yeah...the Ovechkin goal probably should have been saved.
But.....he's played ok and with any luck it will be enough to have Nonis stay the course for a little while longer. |

and 2 of them were in the first game he played in 8 months. OV's last night was a bit of a screen too, and he's scored enough goals from that exact spot that I'm willing to give it to him.
McClement should have been tighter. (frank)ing Kipper did an analysis of it in the pregame and just watching that PP I was like "McClement doesn't know OV enough - should have watched the pregame" |

just stopping the puck behind the net and letting your d take it is enough, id rather him stop the puck and get back in net than try the passes, they are too risky until hes 100% comfy doing it. ease ur way in optimus! |

unless you are good at it.. just do exactly this
carlyle should let him practice it in practice.. but NOT in games. until he looks good enough in practice then Carlyle can take the chains off
i say hire ronnie hextall and have him teach reims how to score |
