Relax people, Luongo is still the goalie getting traded. I will be sad to see him go though. The new Luongo is awesome and he'll be great for the team that gets him. |

Good blog, Luongo has earned a lot of respect these past few months and you just gave him some. Good on ya. |

Keep him noone cares. Clearly noone wanted him when he was available. Maybe they should trade Schneider now. Luongo has never been bad in the regular season, it is the playoffs where he struggles. And that's why they changed it up. So glad Burke or Nonis didn't give up gardiner, kadri or Reilly or even bozak. Not worth it. |

I'd be pumped about that too if I was a Leafs fan. No way they would be able to make their tenth place push without those guys. |

So Schneider is now the one being dealt............. - Alexzanki
No, his faceoffs are coming along nicely. He is the third-line centre of the future now. |

Lu needs to be commended on how he handled this whole situation. The guy is a total pro. |

I dont know Why you guys ever wanted to trade him and roll with an unproven Schnider? Lou looked like a Top 10 goalie last night to me. Your window is closing, you need Louongo. |

I think now it's going to take at least three 1st's, two 2nd's, a 3rd and Campbell, Fleischman and Versteeg for just Lou. |

Two good goalies is an enviable position for any team; two goalies on the roster with their combined cap hit? Not so much...
Like I said though - a good problem to have. Gotta think AV and Gillis would like that 4-5 mil tied up in a back-up/2nd or 3rd line guy though. |

Gillis needs to make this trade happen now. Even if he doesn't get full value, Lou deserves to be a #1 in this league, he's put in a lot of good years for the Nucks and has done a lot for the organization. They decided to go in a different direction, so now they need to be loyal and deal him. The guy is 34-35 he only has a few years left, let him be a number 1. |
