Flukey goal on a screened shot. When things are going your way those things happen. The problem I have with the play is while Perry is behind the net trying to make a play, Beleskey and Getzlaf are nowhere to be seen. If they had been crashing the net perhaps Corey doesn't try to dump the puck back to the point.
That being said, I loved the effort last night. If they keep playing like that they'll win a lot more games than pundits predicted.
I got a kick out of Sharks fans posting on Cam's blog how bad the Sharks played. Perhaps it was because the Ducks played pretty good? Nah, that couldn't be it. |

Agreed. Ducks came out hard and took it to the Sharks. Not a game San Jose deserved to win. Even though the Sharks scored first they never really could get control of the game from Anaheim. I don't get to see a lot of the Ducks other games but they always seem to play great hockey against the Sharks. Hopefully the Sharks have a little more jump in their step next week in Anaheim. |

I don't recall anyone taking anything away from the Ducks, they were the better team. Their ability to close off the boards and shrink the ice on the puck carrier made life miserable for the Sharks. That being said, what we saw out of the Sharks was a poor effort, they did not skate well, they made poor passes, they turned the puck over time and again. For everything the Ducks did well the Sharks did poorly. The Sharks' problems extended well beyond the play of the Ducks.

I remember last year after the Ducks pulled their heads out of their a$$es and went on a run Luca Sbisa threw the puck into the zone so Anaheim could get a line change and the puck took a crazy bounce off the ice and went in the net. When things are going your way stuff like that happens. Look at the shoot-out, Handzus' wicked wrister hits the cross bar and goes in. Teemu's hits the cross bar and stays out. I wish the Ducks could play San Jose more often, they always get motivated. |

Not the way you'll need to be consoled after your ex-boy toy Parise kills the Ducks. |
